What has always separated this property from all the other ones was the experience I made with my family. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and my family have become regulars to siesta sun.
I like some of the changes that have been recently made. For one, I feel like the pool is a lot cleaner. I love that access badges for the private beach and pool.
I stayed in unit 4 which served its purpose but needs some fixing up. I am concerned with how management handles their money and how they treat guest.
I sent a check to pay off my reservation. The reservation number was clearly printed on the check and somehow they manage to deposit the money in the wrong reservation.
Now, it was an honest mistake since the other reservation was a family member who shares my last name.
I didn’t appreciate how management informed me that I needed to contact my family member and request that money back. Management never apologized for that mix up.
In addition, the family vibe that I was always use to is slowly going away. The building manager didn’t take the time to remember our names and gave the impression that she didn’t really care.
Furthermore, their were groups there that usually book a year in advance which the unit owners don’t have an issue with but management is trying to push everyone back a week since “their doing us a favor”
Giving you business is not us asking for favors. We can take our money elsewhere. You need to respect your customers especially when you have better quality competitors around you.
All in all, I had great time. I am not a fan of management. If you send a check call ahead and verify. Always call ahead and verify.. I would even suggest calling in and booking over the phone. Make sure you...
Read moreMy family and I have been coming to Siesta Sun Villas for 30 years and I am so sad and actually angered to expressed that because of the new management we will no longer be returning. This past week my family rented 5 villas and we had others staying at hotels near by visiting us daily that were approached by Linda the mgr with ridiculous questions on more than one occasion. She didn't even identify herself she just began interrogating (i.e. are you staying here?, what villa #? who's cars are those? who's hose is that? visitors need to get a parking pass and need to know the villa number of the guest, etc.). A couple times I noticed her do the same to other guests and their visitors. In all the years coming here we or our guests were NEVER treated like we were being watched. What the 'HECK' we are here to relax NOT be hunted down by mgmt. 'Seriously' I hope the owners of these units are reading these comments and seek the 'older' mgmt or someone like him (Dana). In addition, we had at least 3 HUGE roaches in our room and some of my family remembers in other villas also made mention of that. Instead of scarring away guests they need to do a better job of scarring away the roaches. I'd rate our experience this summer as a ZERO if I was able to. Truly a shame b/c in all the years prior to this we have always rated Siesta Sun Villas as a 5. Here is a farewell to our year summer traditional place to come to we will be seeking accommodations else where. WHAT A SHAME AND SHAME ON LINDA...
Read moreWelcome to the beach circa 1950. No jacuzzi, no in room service, no on site cheezy over priced tiki bar, just a room with a view and an empty beach.||Siesta Key is well known as a great soft, cool, white sand beach. It is also home to dozens of high rise condos and hotels. ||Siesta Sun is NOT one of those. There are about 10 beach front rooms which are basic but have a gorgeous view over a largely empty beach. If you've got kids, you can let them run as the gates to the parking lot and street require an electronic fob.||It ain't the lap of luxury but unless it is cold and raining...what are you doing in the room anyway. ||Cathy was great...they even rustled up and assembled a new picnic and folding tables for out Thanksgiving feast. They even tolerated my Weber and an 8 hour turkey smoke!||We reserved for next year...screw the high rises, pushy...
