I went for a balyage and a U cut the day before my Birthday (Feb21st). Dahlia the stylist assured me it was going to take 3 hours and ended up taking 6! Holding Ulta beauty to a high standard, I never thought the execution of my hair would be as horrible as it came out. Not only did she seem as if she knew nothing about dealing with my type of hair (natural soft waves) she also colored it back to back multiple times, left parts of my hair with bleach and I am absolutely mortified on the cut. I ended up having to go the next week for a promised 1 hour session that took 4 hours (Feb26th). Not to mention she added more color. I gave the toner she recommended a good 3 weeks but I didnt see a difference. I called the store manager and explained the situation so she asked me to send her photos. Even she knew that the stylist didnt do a good job so she gave me the option for a refund or to redo my hair with the best balyage stylist. I took the second option. The apt was set for March 18th. The drive to ulta is about 40min from my home. As I walked to the back of the store the day of my apt, a sign was hung from the register saying that all services including hair was cancelled until further notice due to Covid-19. One, I didnt receive a call. Two, when I spoke to who was in charge up front, they confirmed my appointment was not canceled nor reschedule proving the stylist failed to contact me. Then she reccomended calling customer care to discuss my issue. As I left I called and the man reassured me the salon manager would reach me the day after regarding the situation (the store would be officially closed the 20th). I waited and noone got back to me. It was frustrating enough. I called and called and noone answered. Until the 5th call. I ended up speaking to a manager who refunded me by check. Setting aside the refund, I am overall dissapointed with how this situation was handled. It was very unprofessional. Now I'm left with multi colored hair that looks like someone just took a child's scissor and chopped it blindfolded. I dont trust many with my hair. After waiting 3 years to add a light color, this by far is the worst experience I've ever...
Read moreI visited this Ulta today, and had such a lovely experience. The store was incredibly busy, as it was a Saturday, I was nervous at first as I am a very anxious person who does not do well with crowds and always feel as if Iâm bothering the staff when asking questions but the staff at this Ulta were absolutely amazing. I was helped in fragrance right away, I forgot the lovely womanâs name but honestly the whole storeâs staff were phenomenal I cannot stress this enough. As I said it was super busy, however Sam was more than happy to help color match not only myself but my daughter as well. She was amazing, listened to our wants from products and was able to select products that matched perfectly and ticked all the boxes of what we were looking for, she also let us know we could leave the products we no longer wanted there with her and she would put them back! Ally was amazing as well, funny enough I thought my daughter was standing next to me and started asking (to whom I thought was my daughter) âwhat is the difference between these two eyebrow pencilsâ, I felt rather embarrassed turning around to see my daughter had ventured off but Ally started a conversation with me right away and answered the question. I thought that was really sweet, she did not have to respond at all, just another point to prove how amazing this staff is. Absolutely everyone was knowledgeable and helpful! The line was long, however it went super quick as everyone at checkout were rockstars! 10/10 experience! I just wish I remembered more of the names of the staff who all helped us out, all were quick to offer suggestions, all were incredibly kind, intelligent, knowledgeable, and...
Read moreMy hair was very dark red when I came in. I showed A** multiple pictures of what I wanted. I wasnât expecting blonde highlights but at the very least a lighter brown or even a copper-ish color highlight job since I transition from dark red to highlights every other year or so. Long story short- had to find a new salon to fix the plethora of issues this girl did on my hair, including adding blue to neutralize the orange highlights she gave me for not toning properly and letting my hair lift lighter color to the max LONG ENOUGH. Pretty sad, and infuriating when two different salon stylists tell you the toner and overall chemical process used was done incorrectly. I left Ulta with orange-y hair yesterday and a highlight job that you needed a magnifying glass to see. Save your money, go to a professional whom can follow directions or be professional enough to tell you when what youâre asking for is not something they can achieve; refer you to someone in the salon, that can.
Also- when her co-worker took over, I was asked to come the following day for her to fix my hair. She said she would âexperiment first to see what results she got.â (Thatâs confidence boosting) she even had to ask the manager whether I needed to pay right then or the next day when I came for the fix up. If I hadnât asked her about paying then or later, I wouldâve left the store without paying for the $50 worst layer cut Iâve ever had- you can tell in fixed picture my hair is not layered, yet refused to pay for the botched color job.
This store needs better Management and skillful stylists that have more than 2 years experience trying to produce $150+...
