This place is now uselessly taking up space at some of the most premium and coveted real estate in the entire United States. I recall long making motorcycle tours along A1A and having key special moments at this location with friends when it was some kind of French cafe or other -but no more... Starbucks, despite no local ordinance commanding them to do so whatever, has closed off all of its indoor dining, EVERYWHERE, perhaps as a sort of flex of power against all the other surrounding businesses that can no longer afford to do so. So I guess that makes them, wuh? Better?..
These are the times, but I see no point in having a Starbucks here, and it kind of ruins the aura of America's first establishment when you pull through as a tourist and see mega-corporate badging smattered over all these 400 year old buildings. I'd recommend seeking out other indie coffee shops, but many of the establishments in this same area are also given to adopt strange rules like two-hour time limits for "studying, working, meeting," mandates which they must've lifted from door of a St. John's County Public Library. If you want to defund something, perhaps you should begin with Starbucks, or, better, public facilities like schools and libraries that are no longer open...

Went for breakfast and ordered ahead online, got my sandwich within five minutes (not bad). However, it took them 17 minutes to make my very simple drink. my friend who ordered at the same time as me quickly received her drink and sandwich while I had to wait. When they called out my name my drink didnāt even have the whipped cream on it (that is was absolutely supposed to have), I didnāt want to be rude so my friend went up to the counter to ask them to put on the whipped cream for me, the lady had a massive attitude with her. She quickly threw some whipped cream onto it and then didnāt even put the topping on the cream. horrible experience, horrible service, they werenāt even understaffed.(The drink legit says it includes whipped cream and pumpkin spice topping) this was my last...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreInside of the Casa Monica hotel, they're on the first floor attached to the lobby. You can get to it from a street entry and hotel entry. They accept the Starbucks app and gift cards, you just cannot redeem app points here (but you do earn them).
The store itself is small and only has bar level seating. They are mostly for grab and go. They gave mugs and the usual tumblers for purchase. They also have a food case and pastries.
The staff was very friendly and moved both the line and drink orders quickly. They are on a 'no reusable cups' ban right now for Corona virus so heads up, don't bother bringing them.
Overall: A Easy coffee shop to get in and out of. Minimal indoor seating but they do have some cafe tables outside. You can use the app to pay, but not...
