We try to visit a new art gallery every time we travel to Saint Augustine. We've visited many art galleries all over the world, and each has provided a unique and interesting experience. We rate this gallery in the top 5% of all our gallery experiences. All of the qualities of a top-notch gallery are apparent. It is well laid out and the staff is both friendly and knowledgeable. It's the little extras that impress. Two private viewing rooms, in which one can sit on a couch and gaze at a work that one is considering, under variable lighting conditions. At least two different artistic styles that are memorable because they are completely different from anything that we've ever seen in our lives: incredibly whimsical and complex sculptures plus wavy canvases inside wavy frames. Angel, who attended us, explained all the artists and their works. She pointed out a sculptor whose works she believed would increase in value over time because he had recently been acquired by museums. She even shared a photograph of one of his works on a table in her apartment. We do not purchase art as an investment. We buy what we like and what we believe we can appreciate for the rest of our lives. As much as we adored these sculptures, they were out of our price range, but I am convinced that they would be of great interest to an art collector who is buying for the purpose of investment. In the end, we acquired a very affordable original oil by a local artist. We are not wealthy and we thought that the price we paid was eminently fair. If the photo attachment comes out, the piece we purchased is the lion face at bottom right. Don't be put off by the lack of prices on anything. It's very easy to think "oh my God; I'm sure I can't afford anything in here". As long as you understand that this is a gallery and not a flea market, I believe you're going to be pleasantly surprised. The satisfaction that we feel when gazing upon our oil will surely recall fond memories of the pleasant hours that we spent in this gallery. I Highly recommend!

On vacation my husband saw the gallery and said, he wanted to look around. We are so glad we did. Angel was very knowledgeable and kind. She showed us several pieces. We came home with a gorgeous bronze sculpture of a beautiful heron, by Brian Arthur. They have more that we loved, it's a great gallery.

James Coleman Signature Gallery is located inside of the Casa Monica Resort and Spa of St. Augustine. Being an artist myself, I've learned to appreciate art of different styles. Through art shows on cruise ships, I've collected a few pieces by James Coleman.

This gallery featured artwork from other artists including Rob Kaz, Wendy Norton, Michael Summers, Nano Lopez, and many others.

My favorite piece was "Icons of St. Augustine", which features the architecture of Hotel Cordova, Hotel Ponce De Leon, and Hotel Alcazar during their annual Night of Lights celebration, which runs from...

We stopped at multiple galleries throughout the art district and this was the best one. This location had some amazing unique art but what made it special was Hope. She took the time to explain the art, talk about the artist and show us a couple of pieces in the showroom. Every other location we were ingnored and every person should be treated the same. You never know who will be your...
