Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Florida

They seem to be under staffed most of the time that we go here. For a location right by a college you'd think they would be better prepared for a late night rush.

By far the worst service at this location. I went there tonight with my husband to get food after I got home from work. I'm guessing unless you're a hot drunk college kid you don't get paid attention to. Ordered our food I ordered a bowl of chili and my husband the royal which comes with an over easy egg on top. My husband specifically asked twice that he wanted the yolk runny. Food comes out without my bowl of chili, and his egg so fried you could use it as a hockey puck. Tried to get our waitress attention and ignored us, I went a grabbed another girl to see if she could help us. I explained I know she wasn't our server but my husband's food came out wrong and my food didn't even come out. She takes his food back and says she will have it fixed. Not more than 30 seconds later she comes walking back with his burger and my pathetic bowl of chili. Checks the burger and it is literally the same damn egg on top just flipped over. They didn't even attempt to fix the egg and give him a new one. I know for the location they won't miss 2 people trying to spend their money in the location but we will never be back to this location. They need to get people in there that actually work, and try treating all customers with the same respect they give the drunk college kids. DONT GO HERE. GO TO STEAK AND SHAKE ON COLONIAL.

My boyfriend ordered at the kiosk and got himself something and me something. He then found out that the one thing he ordered me they didnt have. He told them okay, well just cancel the whole order and we'll get a refund. Then they said "well we already started yours". So he said thats okay i still take it and then asked if he could get a refund on my item. She just looked at him and was saying shed have to ask. Then she told him it should be back on his card in 3-5 business days. Then he asked for a receipt of the refund and the manager handed him a reprint of the original receipt. He ended up leaving without a refund and went to the steak and shake on colonial. WHICH IS WAY BETTTER. First off, if you don't currently have an item it should NOT be available to purchase orignally. Second, I have experience with customer service and doing refunds on that end. The purchase was not even 6 minutes old, has not processed yet, should have just canceled the processing order. No reason it would take 3-5 business days.

Do not go here, If you really want steak and shake go to the one on Colonial. Much better service and they dont mess up orders and they have all the items they...

Milkshake melted while waiting over 30 minutes for the rest of the order and the manager yelled at me for requesting it to be remade.

I visited this location for the first time on Thursday night after receiving a request for 2 UberEats delivery orders. One was a milkshake and it was ready at the time of arrival. The employee offered to hold it so it wouldn’t melt while waiting for the rest but left it at the counter and not a single employee ever came back to the counter. The place was full of customers and delivery drivers complaining. By the time an employee came close I had been waiting 30 minutes and I asked him to remake the shake that had melted, the manager then came and yelled aggressively that they don’t remake delivery orders, I asked “so what am I supposed to do?” And he yells “don’t accept 2 orders!” I said that’s not how it works and he yelled back “that’s exactly how it works!” I questioned how he’s telling me how it works when he’s not holding my phone on his hand and he asked to leave. As I was leaving huge orders where getting tossed out by him because the delivery drivers had left after the excessive wait. I will be submitting a complaint for this manager’s...
