My partner and I went to Tequila’s together for lunch. We’ve been looking for a new “usual” spot for Mexican food, and I’m really glad we have this place a chance!
When I first tried their chips and two salsas, I was like, “This is going to be a good meal. I can already tell.”
Food: We ordered things we knew we liked so we could see if the quality was there. I got the steak fajitas and burrito special. We were very happy, as it was authentic, homemade, well-plated, and perfectly portioned. I’ve never had fajitas quite like that before: meat and veg combined all together in a tasty sauce. Everything was cooked to order. Superb! 🤩
We had a side of mole to try and flavor was on point. A little thin, but spot-on flavor. Their guacamole is on my top 3!
For dessert, we had the tres leches cake (my #1 fave) and it was delicious. It had the perfect crumb texture and was neither too wet or too dry. The whipped cream was a little gummy, but all in all, it was delicious. 🍰
Service: The host was friendly and prompt. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and very accommodating. Food came out in about 20 minutes, fresh as could be. I wish we had gotten a few more drinks throughout our meal, though.
Atmosphere: The atmosphere was very nice, so comfortable. It wasn’t too busy, staff were cheerful, and traditional music was quiet but enjoyable. The booth seats were comfortable and the high backs allowed for privacy.
Allergies: I’m a disabled person with several allergies and sensitivities, so dining out can be frustrating. Tequila’s was very accommodating.
✨This is the first time in months that I have left a restaurant without feeling sick.✨ I’m so grateful I could cry. 🥹
Thank you Tequila’s for making my weekend unforgettable!
My only regret is not...
Read moreGood thing I didn't look at these reviews before going with a group there today, otherwise, I might not have wanted to go. First, the place felt clean and the decor was nice for a Mexican restaurant that isn't a national chain. We had a party of 10 of which 2 were kids. I ordered the chicken Chili Relleno which was very good along with the beans and rice, but really, how spectacular can they be. 2 people ordered the Enchilada Mole chicken and beef and they were delicious, I would recommend a little more sauce and it would have been perfect. I can't remember what the other dishes were but each had a nice amount of meat in them and everyone really enjoyed them and we all said we would come back. The food did not taste like boring bland Mexican food, but then again, nobody ordered a basic meal. I wish I had seen the salsa bar at the entry though. Also, I am Not a fan of Iguana Mia's, this place kills over that place. Btw, the chips and salsa we liked a lot. The chips were thin and not greasy, maybe they are from a bag, but we all liked them and the mild and hot salsas also tasted good and the Prices were great! We definitely would recommend this place. I've driven by it a hundreds and thought it was a chain so never wanted to try it, glad to know it's...
Read moreI've been to numerous Mexican bar and grills but this one has far been one of the worst. To start, my food was super salty. I ordered the pineapple fajitas, as recommended by my waitress, and was really disappointed. My steak was hard to chew, my shrimp had no seasoning and it was really plain, and the cheese on top was cold. My rice and beans were really salty as well. I thought it was just my order but everyone else in my group said their orders were salty as well. And they all got something different. One of my family members asked the waitress if they could return their order and get something else and the waitress just gave us a bit of attitude and rolled their eyes. I wanted to give their dessert a try and ordered the churros but even they were disappointing. Aside from the food, the music in the restaurant was super loud. I tried talking to the person in front of me and we couldn't hear a word we were saying. Even when our waitress came over apologized cause she couldn't hear our order over the loud music. Overall I wouldn't recommend coming...
