After last night I don't think I will ever be back. I called last night and talked to Ruby. I asked for a vegetarian calzone, a supreme calzone, cheese bread and 2 cheesecakes. My total was around $46. The delivery guy got here and was really nice, no problems there. I went to put the cheesecakes in the fridge until we were ready for them and realized that the bag was really heavy for 2 peices of cheesecake. I opened the top container and noticed it was cheesesteak and not cheesecake. I checked my receipt and it said 2 cheesesteaks. That is not what I wanted or ordered. I'm a vegetarian and the Calzones last at least 2 meals for both my husband and I so no one in this house will eat those.

My husband immediately called in and Ruby answered the phone and told her about the mistake where she explained there was nothing they could do about it. So I am stuck with her $16 mistake no one here ordered or will eat that will go to waste? My husband took the cheesesteaks up there last night to ask for the refund back on to my cc for the mistake and he was told they couldn't do it.

We have been eating at this establishment for almost 10 years and watch it change owners, name changes and people come and go. We have enjoyed coming here for years but if this is a sign of how things are going and expensive mistakes like this will be made, then my husband and I along with the rest of our family will no longer come here...

UPDATE 5/7 - DANG! Their crust was ON POINT today! So good.

ORIGINAL POST - We showed up for an early lunch so there weren't a lot of people. They had a couple games on, really good music playing, AND the food was fantastic. We ordered the mini garlic knots. Dang these little nuggets are good. I'm not a huge water, anymore, so an order would have been plenty for 4 people. My wife ordered a Stromboli. I had a taste because it looked really good. It was😉. Such a good mix of toppings. Cheese blend (including ricotta), pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms, and they have fantastic marinara sauce. She was only able to eat about half. I tried the wings. Had the garlic Parmigiano wings. I liked that they weren't breaded and the cooked them in the pizza oven. They were great. Got them with a side of blue cheese and they were great. If I had one critique it would be, maybe the wings could be a little bigger, but the us me being critical. They weren't junk wings by any means. The marinara sauce that came for doing with the knots and in the Stromboli is so good. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The place is always nice and clean. We will be back...

Told we couldn't eat in the restaurant - My husband takes our daughter in for carryout almost every Friday after swim lessons and since he was out of town I had to take the both kids to swim lessons and then figure out dinner so we stopped in to order 2 slices of pizza of for my 1 daughter and then I was going to get takeout from somewhere else for my other daughter & me. While we were waiting over 10 min (yes, TEN minutes) for 2 slices of pizza to be warmed up I figured we'd just eat there and I'd order myself and other daughter dinner, asked the guy at the front door and he said not a problem, we were already hanging out in a booth waiting anyways, then a manager or some guy (?) walks over and said we can't eat in the restaurant, I said we'd order drinks and before I could even say food for the other two of us he cut me off and started rambling about how they don't do call aheads on Fridays and then started to get annoyed as I kept saying ok, not a problem (I didn't even want to eat there, was only doing it because my daughter asked if we could stay). If the restaurant was busy I would understand but there were 6+ tables/booths open so it wasn't like there was a...

Like any red-blooded American human, I really love pizza. I'm not one of those who insists on a particular style, though, so I generally have a favorite of every style. However, I'm always going to have one particular place that comes to mind when I think "pizza", and it just so happens that Vaughn's, for the DFW area, is that place. It's nothing fancy -- classic, "New York style", I suppose, not trying to be anything pretentious... but man oh man, it just hits right, every time. They have a full menu, but I can't imagine coming here and not getting pizza. The service is always friendly and fast, the atmosphere is your classic old-school pizza joint, and the pizza is simple, pure, and outstanding. The ingredients are always fresh and tasty, the crust has juuuust the right balance of crisp, bite, and chew, the cook is always spot-on, and most importantly for me, the sauce tastes amazing. To paraphrase my favorite bearded Baptist, C.H. Spurgeon, "visit many good pizza joints, but live in Vaughn's". If you've never been, do yourself a favor and hit them up. If it's been a while, revisit.

Tucked away off the main path, hidden in the Highlands Ranch shopping center. Great inexpensive Italian food. Atmosphere much like a neighborhood tavern. Good selection of craft beers, wines & mixed drinks. Clean & friendly for dining in, though they do take out and delivery’s too! Best options are their lunch specials, much more reasonable than fast food!!! Update: came back & tried the lasagna. Not bad either & the Caesar Salad was to die for! Added pictures. Service was fast, though they were looking for help & we did have to wait a little for a tea refill.

This is the first time ordering from here for me. I’m a nurse and was on my way home from work when I decided stop in. I just honestly don’t know how to describe this. In my experience, a Stromboli and calzone have always been the same size. The difference… one has ricotta and the other just mozzarella. I got these for my sons and you can only imagine how one felt more “important” than the other. A fight ensued… of course. Apparently size does matter. Even to the young. So why does one get more than the other?
