I'm a local and have been here a couple of times now. One thing I enjoy is the attentive and efficient bartenders. The loaded Hamm's (they add lime juice and hot sauce with a lime) is worth trying. Bloody Marys are typically not my favorite, but my girlfriend ordered one and upon trying it I would probably order one here at some point.

We ate brunch the last time we were here. They open at 10am and on a Saturday morning they were almost full within 20 minutes. It's typically a fun crowd (the kind that starts drinking at 10am). I ordered the B.E.C (Bacon Egg Crossaint). Unfortunately it came out without egg or cheese but they quickly made it right and were sincerely apologetic for it. My girlfriend ordered the Avocado Toast. As Avocado Toast aficionados it wasn't the greatest, but then again, we have some higher-than-average standards. We also ordered the waffle fries. This was probably too much for breakfast but the fries were seasoned well and had just the right amount of crisp.

We're looking forward to coming back and trying more of their menu!

Edit (6/28/21): Returned (twice!) this past Saturday. First stop in was for some drinks. Started with a Loaded Miller Lite (not a huge fan of Hamm's) and ordered a Dark & Shady for the 2nd round after seeing it made for someone else. This is their version of the "Dark & Stormy" classic tiki cocktail. It was an amazing mix of ginger, fruity, and savory flavor.

We returned before close (they close at midnight-ish - as does the kitchen) for some late night food. We both ordered the Mother's Double Cheeseburger after seeing someone order it earlier and it look delicious. It definitely didn't disappoint! The patties are THICC and juicy with so much flavor. The waffle fries were perfectly crispy and the spicy ketchup was an excellent compliment. This is a really great spot to grab a bite late at night when most other places on Folly have closed...

Went here for brunch and ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo and mushrooms (+$2) and a loaded Hamms beer (Hamms beer with lime juice, hot sauce and a pinch of salt). Food portions for what you pay for compared to other places on the island are very sub par.

The food: A $17 burrito (keep in mind I had an upcharge for both fillers noted above) I would expect to have something the size of a Chipotle size burrito. What I had received was a burrito that i could easily fit in both of my hands with no spillage, served on a platter. The burrito was not even half the size of the platter (see picture). I would be embarrassed to serve this as an option with no side for the included price. This item is not recommended at all. Flavor was not bad, but the dish has so much more potential. 2/5 - Disappointed!

The shrimp roll (which is not actually a roll but a piece of toast) with chopped shrimp salad on top with fries. The fries were good and the open-faced sandwich "roll" had a good flavor but was difficult to eat, small portion for the size. 3/5

Drinks: Loaded Hamms: worth a try but for $4, it's a hams you can make at home three times and have the other 9 beers free. It was a 'I had one and don't need it again' type of drink. 3/5

Draft beer will run you about $8 a pint on average.

I would not recommend this place if you are hungry or thirsty - plenty of better options a block...

Stopped in for drinks with my friend at this establishment on October 4th,2023 . We were visiting from Vancouver Canada. The bartender asked for my Visa so he could start a tab. I mentioned we would be paying cash and he said that was fine but he still needed to swipe my card. I couldn’t understand why but i handed over my Visa. The bill came. We paid in cash for 4 drinks and tortilla chips and then left. The next morning I noticed a charge of almost $90 Canadian on my Visa!! We had already settled this bill by paying cash!! I’ve now been double charged. I’ve tried searching for a phone number for this place and the only two numbers I’ve found only seem to go to voicemail. I’m extremely upset about this. I’ve sent a message to this business through their website and I’ve also sent an email to an email address found on their facebook page. I really hope this was an honest mistake. PLEASE BE CAREFUL IF YOU...

Wow, what a lovely find!! My husband and I were looking for a spot to grab drinks on a Friday night with our puppy. We came across Lowlife Bar and we're able to walk right up and grab a corner spot at the outside bar. The employees were so welcoming of us and our dog, he was loving all the attention he was getting! My husband highly recommends the Edmund's Oast Bound by Time IPA. If you are a tequila fan, you have to try the Cowpoke. It was one of the best mixed drinks I've had! The atmosphere was very low-key and relaxed, we will be coming back for sure!! EDIT - We stopped here for dinner last night and the food was incredible! I had the falafel burger and my husband had the double cheeseburger. We are burger lovers and keep a burger ranking. The cheeseburger took the number one spot on both our lists and I put the falafel burger at number 3. Absolutely delicious!!

Best bar/restaurant in Folly. The drinks and food are superb. The bartenders are all super friendly. Atmosphere is relaxed but energetic - it's just got a great energy and a vibe that's perfect for Folly. The menu has a good variety, including vegetarian options. All orders happen at the bar but they do bring the food to your table. Beer selection is limited but very good. Great place for brunch any day of the week! Grab one of their specialty mimosas, they're all amazing. After 3pm their menu changes (a few brunch items drop off) but it's still a great choice for lunch, dinner, or just a snack. As for cocktails, you almost can't go wrong with their specialties - there's something for everyone's taste.
