Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Folsom

We visited this Coldstone while in Folsom. Hands down the worst service we’ve ever received at a Coldstone. The young man helping us was rude and seemed like he didn’t want to be there. When asked if they had sweet cream ice cream, he said, “I don’t understand what you’re saying.” When asked if the pecans are whole or crushed, he shrugged and said, “I don’t know.” Seriously? My wife and mom said he must be slow or “special.” Ok, maybe… so, when he handed my wife her pistachio ice cream that was so soft it was practically like a milkshake in a cup, I was done. I walked over to the lady owner and asked if “that worker” is slow because if so I want to be sensitive to that. She said no, he isn’t. I explained he’s been rude since we walked in and doesn’t seem like he wants to help us. She goes on to explain, “He has a really bad cold and wants to go home.” ……………. I do want to recognize the assistant manager who was so friendly and took charge to get my wife a new pistachio ice cream that was frozen, not mush. Great attitude and was hustling the whole time on online...

We, a family of four, came in to each get an ice cream. There were 3 groups of 2 in front of us but the person helping them seemed competent. There was at least one person in the back not helping people, but probably doing other admin things. Another employee came in from outside and the competent employee left the front to allow the newly arrived employee to handle the customers that have now multiplied behind us. This employee moved so slow that we ended up only offering 2 out of our 4 wanted deserts we were hoping to get because it was embarrassing to us that we felt everyone in the store was waiting on us as we waited on this employee.

This location has steadily gone down hill. Plus, you add in 2 other employees leaving a less than motivated employee out to serve the entire store was...

Folks, let me tell you, this Cold Stone Creamery in Folsom, is fantastic. The best, really. I mean, nobody makes ice cream like they do. Nobody. I was there just the other day, and believe me, it was tremendous. The flavors? Huge. The portions? Bigly. And the people? Great, great people. They're working hard, making America—and your taste buds—great again.

And the mix-ins? Unbelievable. They've got everything. The best ingredients, the best combinations. I don't know how they do it, but they do it, and they do it better than anyone else. All the other ice cream places? Sad. Low energy. They can't compete. Cold Stone Folsom is winning, and it's winning big.
