in looking for a new date night spot, i happened to stumble across a facebook post about new restaurants to check out in the area ā and MANY people unanimously said to check out fiori italian pizzeria. after a quick yelp overview, we decided to give it a try! so letās get into it:
PARKING if you donāt know about parking on sutter street, it is limited to street parking. however there are tons of parking lots nearby with plenty of spaces!
AMBIANCE we walked up and immediately noticed how cute the exterior of the restaurant is. we walked inside and were instantly greeted with a very kind server and the hostess. the inside is decorated so cutesy and fun ā they really added their perfect touch to the place! we were sat right away, and you could instantly tell that good memories and full bellies happen here.
SERVICE our server was Sydney who took excellent care of us throughout our entire dining experience. the staff are all extremely friendly and kind (& the bussers are really on top of clearing dishes quickly)!
FOOD we started with the caprese, which tasted like the heirloom tomatoes were picked fresh off the vine right then. the burrata was SO creamy, and the pesto that accompanies it is absolutely divine. the foccacia and dipping oil that come with the meal.. probably the best iāve ever had. so much flavor, and the bread is soft with a perfect crust on top. absolutely knocked our tastebuds out of the park. we then got the gnocchi with gorgonzola cream sauce and mammaās lasagna. the lasagna might be the best lasagna iāve ever had. jam packed full of meat and flavor, noodles cooked to perfection, and the sauce is what dreams are made of. the gnocchi was what iād imagine eating a cloud would be like; pillowy soft. the sauce was fantastic, however, i wouldāve liked a touch more gorgonzola flavor! still absolutely fantastic though.
LOUDNESS if i had to say one ābadā thing, it is incredibly loud inside. it couldāve been that we were sitting near a large party but i felt like i was screaming to talk during conversation š
overall, what an incredible addition to folsom fiori is. i cannot wait to try the pizza and the nutellino insert drool emoji. already looking forward to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was craving good Italian pizza and stumbled upon Fiori Restaurant on the corner of Folsom Downtown. From the moment I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and style. This isn't your typical classic restaurant where you feel like Winston Churchill might've dined. Fiori exudes a fresh, stylish, and chic vibe that feels modern yet welcoming.
I ordered the Fantastico Pizza and Insalata Vesuvio, and let me tell you, the pizza truly lives up to its name--it was one of the best Italian pizzas I've had in a long time.
As a self-proclaimed Nutella lover, I was thrilled when they served a dessert featuring Nutella. It was absolutely delicious and the perfect ending to the meal.
The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. Even the water they served--still, with no ice--tasted better than most places, showcasing their attention to detail.
Fiori is the perfect spot for almost any occasion. Whether you're planning a date night, girls' night, or even a boys' night (thanks to their $7 beer menu), it's a great choice. It's equally ideal for family dinners, big parties (personal or work-related), birthday celebrations, or catching up with a friend or colleague.
They offer 4-5 distinct seating environments to suit your mood. We chose to sit outside on a sunny day, and it was delightful.
I'll definitely be visiting Fiori soon--either on my way to the lake or after a nice lake walk. The area is fantastic, with a trail entrance just below the street. If you're in Folsom, make sure to add Fiori to your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe negatives - food was absolutely mid, this is obviously pre frozen food that they put in a microwave to heat up. Grandma's recipe? Who are you kidding? The portions were laughable, paid an absurd amount of money for little to no food. I tried returning this garbage but given the confrontational attitude of the manager and the fact I made the aggregious mistake of ordering through door dash I don't think I'll be receiving a refund. Ordered a pizza which wasnt included in the lunch bag I got when showing to pick up my order. But good news! they keep the Pizza in a little wine cooler so by the time I came back to pick it up the thing was nearly frozen. Pizza was thin as paper, cold as a crystal gyser, gnocchi was most likely purchased at Safeway, pasta was low to mid (actually not terrible) ordered some cheese balls or whatever for 20 bucks and got four of them. Seriously?? 4 cheeseballs??? At this low of quality?? We ordered to go but a quick word about the "ambiance".....there is no ambiance, the place is a hodge podge of the worst resteraunt aesthetics imaginable. Loud, obnoxious, tripe music intertwined with headache inducing neon bar lights. This place is an absolute joke.
Now the positives- I like seeing middle school kids having jobs. Keeps the economy running strong. Especially at these rates!
The long and short - if you're in Folsom and you want Italian just go to Viscontis. Or...
