I happened to see a sign for Tonnos this evening, and I’m glad I did! Same ownership and some of the same staff as Orangevale, this location is located just far enough off the beaten path while still close to Folsoms other great establishments to create an excellent atmosphere for whatever you’re looking for. I really enjoyed the taco selection, go for the birria, but more than that I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere with great bartenders and fun people to talk to. I forgot to write a review when I was there for my birthday last Jan, but Melissa the bartender was so awesome that I still remember her name a year later. I hope she’s still there! Lemon pepper and sweet chili were pretty tasty, but the garlic ones were a disappointment. It was just sour, jarred garlic and pre-shredded, unmelted Parmesan on the wings. Would recommend that they sauté fresh garlic in butter, then freshly grate Parmesan when tossing the wings in the butter. Chicken nachos were huge and great!
