Will not be back to this IHOP. Not only did we feel discriminated against, but our server was not attentive, and had to witness others get served and offered things that we were not.
I told the hostess that we had 2 kids in our group - No crayons or color pages were offered. Table for 6 was incredibly too close and sandwiched between 2 others. I'm an incredibly social person and it was too close even for me. We had so little elbow room at our table. Server brought our coffee without creamer and had to wait for her to come back so we could ask, among other things. I specifically drove an hour here because my town does not have an ihop and their pancakes are my favorite. I had 3 pancakes... I sat and waited for ' Hannah' to come back so i could ask for blueberry and strawberry syrup. That never happened. Why package them up to serve if you never mean to serve them? There are people who MISS those 4 syrups on the table for their pancakes. Everyone had waffles or pancakes and she never cared to offer OR come back to check. We watched as she asked the Caucasian family next to us, if they wanted crayons and coloring pages for their kids, brought them coffee WITH creamer, and asked if they wanted Cholula with their food AFTER we had to wait for ours. She seemed attentive with others more. The boy behind my sister threw whipped cream which landed on her because we were so ridiculously close to the next table. She also gave us our check without asking if we wanted anything else. I'm sure the owner would be happy to know that. Packing people in like sardines AND neglecting them? Management issue and lack of staff training. Petty disappointing when I came here to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWORST IHOP I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! Food was cold when it came out and had to wait for some of the food we ordered. Son ordered steak and eggs, medium rare and it came out well done. I had a steak omlette, which was luke warm at best. Granddaughter had chocolate chocolate chip pancakes which was the only thing that was hot. Waited over half hour to pay bill, and finally walked to the front. Was told they couldn't check me out and I had to wait for my waitress, Went back and sat down for another 15 minutes, with waitress walking past us 3 times and talking with other waitresses. Our waitress only had 4 tables she was taking care of. Went back up and told them I had an appointment and needed to check out. Was told very rudely she couldn't do anything. I told her if she didn't ring me up after waiting 45 minutes, I was going to leave, Guessing it was the manager reached over and did something on the register so I could finally get checked out. If it was the manager, she didn't say anything. Finally, as we were getting rung up, our waitress came up and the RUDE snotty broad told her I was supposedly waiting and when I came up, I threw my card at her?? I never did but did tell her if she doesn't like working there and dealing with the public, quit. I didn't spend $63.00 for me, my son and granddaughter to get attitude. We have ate at the Ihop in Oshkosh several times and will definitely again with the horrible service and cold food at Fond du Lac. At least at Oshkosh, our meals come at the same time and we have never had attitude from any of the employee's. I can see another vacant building in the near future unless they get people that care...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThought we would try this new IHOP in fond du lac. The place was clean. I understand they are new. I understand there will be minor issues with a new business. But I was in the restaurant business for over 35 years so what I don't understand is why at IHOP they carry their own bank. This takes away from the customer and the service a customer should get when a server is at the computer for ten minutes or better cashing their table out that wanted separate tickets. Basic serving is when someone orders a salad as one of their sides they prefer to get it before the meal not with the meal. The salad was hot and was just lettuce with a hint of carrot shreds. When you have a dish that is supposed to have beef gravy and oops we are out of the beef gravy you don't offer turkey gravy to put on it. When is a cheese omelet rolled up with only a little cheese on the outside of it and no cheese in the rolled up egg? Omelets are flipped in half/folded in half not rolled up. The omelet was cold but hey when they brought the hashbrowns out for it they were hot. Our server checked back on us once right before she brought the check. If this business makes it I will be extremely surprised. We should have listened to a customer that told us as they were leaving that it's not worth it and sad to say they were right. I'll drive to oshkosh to IHOP before I would ever go back to...
