McDonald's — Restaurant in Forest City

The rebuild maybe made a better restaurant giving you a nice inside dining experience. However, traffic patterns for drive through is aggregating to say the least. YOU HAVE TO DRIVE BACK AROUND THE RESTAURANT TO GET OUT- A MONUMENTAL INCONVENIENCE. SOME PARKING REQUIRES YOU TO CROSS THE DRIVE THROUGH TRAFFIC LANE. OUTSIDE IS A MESS... INSIDE IS MUCH BETTER AND INVITING, BUT STILL IF NOT CAREFUL YOU WILL BE BLOCKED BY THOSE IN LINE TRYING TO EXIT AND YOU WILL BASICALLY BE FORCED TO WALK AROUND THE ENTIRE DINING ROOM TO GET OUT. THE ARCHITECT SHOULD GIVE THE LOCAL FRANCHISE THEIR MONEY BACK. I GENERALLY AVOID THIS McDONALDS FOR THESE REASONS. IT'S JUST INCONVENIENT TO EAT THERE. IN MY OPINION THEIR BURGERS ARE JUST NOT WHAT THEY WERE YEARS AGO. AFTER A STINT OF BURGERS THAT TASTED LIKE CARDBOARD WITH THE CONSISTENCY OF CARDBOARD, THE CURRENT BURGERS STILL LACK TASTE. THE McNUGGETS ARE ALSO NOT AS GOOD AS IN THE PAST. GENERALLY THE CHICKEN IS QUITE GOOD ALONG WITH BISCUITS AND BREAKFASTS. THEIR GRAVY IS ANOTHER ITEM THAT IS JUST NOT AS GOOD AS IT WAS 20 YEARS AGO. BUT THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO. SPECIALTY AND NONTRADITIONAL ITEMS ARE GENERALLY GOOD. THE APP SORT OF WORKS AFTER MONTHS OF FAILURE. MY INSIDE PICK UP WAS TAKEN OUTSIDE. THE APP THAT DOES NOT WORK NEEDS A LOT OF WORK ALONG WITH THEIR LONG STANDING MENU ITEMS THAT LACK TASTE. FRIES ARE GOOD WHEN HOT. DOUBLE CHEESEBURGERS ARE GOOD AND AS STATED CHICKEN AND FISH ARE GOOD. THE FISH SANDWICH IS ONE OF THEIR BEST SANDWICHES. THE BEST BURGER WAS THE HOT ON ONE SIDE OF THE CONTAINER AND COLD ON THE OTHER SIDE WAS FANTASTIC. GENERALLY THE QUALITY OF FOOD IN MOST FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS HAS DETERIORATED. THE EXCEPTION IN MY OPINION IS BOJANGLES, TACO BELL, ARBYS, SONIC AND LITTLE CAESAR'S. IN SHORT, GIVEN FEW ALTERNATIVE CHOICES I MAY...

Went to this McDonalds, ordered 3 meals, roughly $40 of food now a days. On that order was a Caramel sundae. The sundae came out literally a quarter filled. We asked the manager there to get it filled properly, she said "It's only three swirls, that's all we can give". We informed this awful lady that EVERY OTHER MCDONALDS fills the ice cream close to the top and she refused to fill up the Ice Cream. We told her we'd just be going down the street to get the whole meal and won't be back to this poorly managed McDonalds.

The other McDonalds 2 minutes down the street gave us the exact same order we wanted at the original, cheaper since the employee at this new McDonalds knew a deal, saved us $6 dollars and they filled the sundae exactly like every other McDonalds has ever filled it before.

To McDonalds - It's 2025 and every company is pricing out their consumers. It's McDonalds for God's sake. Your prices are already ridiculous and now when you have terrible managers like the lady at this location, it's just all around frustrating.

All in all, There's a million McDonalds to go to besides this one and this silly manager lost $40 and an argument for 2 swirls of Ice Cream you're already paying $3 for.

Couldn't...

We went through the drive thru. We paid quickly and were told to go to the second window 5 minutes later we were told to pull to the 3rd window. We waited 20 minutes with not one person coming to say anything about the wait. A worker finally came and handed me out bag of food without saying a word and just turned around and left a soon as I grabbed the bag. The food was right but there wasn't BBQ sauce for the nuggets, no salt on the fries which were over cooked and under salted. We ordered large and got regular and didn't get any of our drinks. I thought she was going to get our drinks but then about 5 minutes later I saw in my rearview thru were serving cars from the second window. I got out of my car and walked to the window and told her we needed our drinks and the sauce. No apology or saying anything.. she stepped away and came back with the next cars food and I then said again that we needed our drinks and sauce. She then got the cups and started filling them. She then just handed the stuff to me... they were all regular size and at that point I didn't want to have to wait not 1 more second to get the larges I paid for so...
