I think my first mistake was ordering sushi in Colorado and expecting it to be good.... Second mistake was not asking for a refund after I saw the rolls... Ordered 2 rolls. The snow white roll and the Maki mexica roll. Maki mexica roll states it's fried on the menu...but you can clearly see in the photo it's not deep fried....the girl tried to tell me they fried it and then wrapped it in the rice and nori.... I have had a TON of sushi all over the USA and never have I seen sushi prepared like that. Also who in their right mind uses Pickled jalapeno in sushi.....can you scream cheap any louder?? The snow white roll had no flavor and they missed my mango. I told them to just throw some mango on top... They also added masago(green eggs) on top when the menu doesn't state that roll had those... If I'm paying $32 for 2 rolls, I would hope they were prepared as the menu states and I would also hope they don't use cheap ingredients like pickled jalapenos... If your from Colorado and you don't know better, this might be good sushi to you. But I promise this isn't good sushi by any stretch of the imagination.

So here is the thing. Normally I would rank this higher but jeju is just down the street and is WAY better. Plus, they had a few things working against it. Let's just list them off 1) we heard they are really busy, and that we would need reservations. We called and made these for 5:00pm, when we arrived we were literally the only people there. 2) we chose this because we heard about the boat platter thing, which was a neat touch but for 70 dollars... Yikes... Maybe I am used to Washington where you can get all you can eat sushi, of incredible quality, for 20 a person. 3) that platter only feeds 2 people, so we all wanted wonton soup and seaweed salad, but it only comes with two so all the extra was an up charge, which brought our total to around 90. 4) the sushi was mixed, the sashimi was great, but the California roll was meh. Soooo, We all left hungry, again it wasn't bad, it just wasn't good for the price. I wouldn't go back, when I could go to jeju directly across the street.... but I did give it an extra star for their seaweed salad, that was great, and a huge portion.

I don't know about this 4.1 status, but I guess to each his own. I've been frequenting Lulu's for the past 11 years and not ONCE have I had an experience I was disappointed with. Well, expect for when I ordered the salmon skin roll, but hey, I was trying something new and it just wasn't my thing. No fault to the sushi chef! A simple fault on my palate

They also have a WIDE variety of other dishes if sushi or sashimi isn't your thing.

Every server, sushi chef, and hostess/greeter has never had a frown on their face and have done their best to accommodate myself and friends for a welcoming atmosphere. I even made friends with a lot of them and because of that would always receive amazing fortunes in my cookies - Okay, that's an exaggeration, but I always felt it was because of their positive vibes.

The Lunch special is amazing!!! And I believe it runs M-F, where you can order 2 rolls for $8.95 or 3 rolls for $10.95? AND a soup and salad?!? Say WHAT. I mean, it has raised in price since I first starting visiting, but inflation can be a sonava. And so can rent in the Old Town area. But still, the lunch special is WORTH IT. The rolls available aren't the high tier specialty rolls, but are absolutely not low end at all. Plus, your Sushi comes out fresh, slightly chilled, and with your server firing that ever cheerful smile at you while constantly checking on you.

Oh ya, don't be scared to order a round of Saki Bombs :) They're one of the few establishments around here that will still let you have fun and even join you in the countdown whether your a veteran or a newbie.

Certainly, here’s a draft for your review:

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Lulu’s Asian Bistro. My family and I sat down, ordered our drinks, and were ready to enjoy our meal. My niece, who has a medical condition and cannot eat large portions, tried to order a child’s meal, as she typically cannot finish an adult-sized portion. We noticed there was no age restriction listed on the kids’ menu, so we assumed this would be no problem.

When we tried to place the order, the server told us they don’t allow adults to order from the kids’ menu, even after we explained the reason. I then went up to the counter and asked to speak to the manager, but instead, an employee came over and said the manager would not allow an adult to order from the kids’ menu, as they don’t want people “paying child prices for an adult meal.”

I clarified that we weren’t trying to save money but simply wanted a smaller portion due to my niece’s medical condition. Yet, the employee insisted that they would not make an exception. I even requested to place a kids’ order to go instead, but she refused, claiming that she “knew it was feeding an adult.”

This experience was not only disappointing but also left a bad taste in our mouths due to the lack of understanding and basic customer service. The dismissive attitude and unwillingness to accommodate a simple request, especially given a medical necessity, were very disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who expects compassion and...

I checked out this place for lunch. Practically everything was inedible!!!! Never in my life have I ever wanted to dine and dash until I ate here. This is my first bad review, I was also sure to leave one on Yelp as well.

I ordered a Bento Box with teriyaki chicken. It also included rice, a salad, fried spring roll, soup, and a California roll. For a beverage I ordered jasmine tea...

The tea had absolutely no flavor! The salad was drenched in some orange flavored dressing. The teriyaki chicken was probably the worst part of the meal. It was boiled chicken covered in teriyaki sauce, neither the sauce or the chicken had any flavor. Trying to make the best out of my lunch I figured you can't go wrong with a fried spring roll, but even that was bad. Seeing that I had to pay for this meal I just consumed my rice plane and ate the California roll... Now still hungry I'm going to go find another better meal.

Oh and the service was hardly recognized as a service. The entire kitchen staff seem to take a lunch break at the same time, at a table sitting across from me while they all consumed what look like better food than I had. And they all three employees loudly watched videos and streamed other things on the internet for the whole restaurant to here. So as I ate my flavorless food, I also got to listen to muffled audio streaming across the restaurant.

Do not be deceived by their well put together website with beautiful pictures... It's just a deceitful way to lure you into the...
