This was my second time coming to this establishment. We visited right after covid 19 lockdown was over. We needed somthing to do that day and was able to get squeezed in at the bar at the last minute, the host Christy was beautiful!!!! I had such a good time then I decided to revisit your restaurant on Easter. Our Easter brunch experience was terrific! The food was fantastic! My Easter cocktails were the best. First I tried the 🥕 martini 🥰🥰🥰 I could have had this drink all day. The flavors were awesome. Now, let's get to the star of the show! I order a sex on the beach. I tend to order this drink alot, I'm from Florida and this drink reminds me of being back on my home tuff on Fort Lauderdale Beach! I've gone to other restaurants and when I order this drink it's a 50/50 chance it's made correctly. I had to wait a few seconds after ordering my cocktail. When our waitress rearrived with the bartender. First, I was just simply taking back by the bartender engery. She was so sweet. She stated the bar was out of the needed ingredients to make the drink I requested. She proposed to make a one of a kind drink for me. I was totally down for it. With an outfit and vibes she was reflecting I just new it was going to be amazing. The bartender did not let me down, when the drink arrived with a purple flower on it i almost cry. It was so cute. Ive been practicing celibacy the last 5 years now after a horrible divorce. Easter weekend marked my 5 year anniversary of no sex and no plans of ever being married again. As I tasted this cocktail it reminded me of a cake my grandmother use to make, "Better than sex cake".She would say don't go around giving your goodies away, keep your goodies safe as she stored the fruit in the a jar she was saving for the cake. Nevertheless, this was a drink that could easily compete! Very refreshing love! You should put this new drink on the menu and name it "Better than Sex Tales"! Thanks for the wonderfull time. Stay safe loves it hard out here in this world we all live in together

My expectations for this place were pretty high, and Sonny Lubicks certainly them. My partner and I attended for Valentine’s Day and ended up getting a last minute dinner reservation through open table. When I arrived, the hostess was wonderful, she took my coat, and promptly seated us. For the appetizer, I ordered the Valentine’s Day special which included 6 east coast oysters, and two glasses of rose. As someone from the west coast, with a preference for west coast oysters, I was pleasantly surprised by how yummy these were. The presentation was incredible as well. Our server was kind, and had really good recommendations and insight; however, at times I was a little bit taken back by his demeanor. Especially at dessert, when they were very obviously trying to sell out of the chocolate dipped strawberries, and he was pretty pushy in trying to get us to purchase them, but when my partner and I opted for something else, he became obviously irritated. It wasn’t enough to warrant a lower rating, but certainly odd. For our entrees, I ordered the bacon wrapped filet mignon and a loaded baked potato and my partner ordered the bison NY strip with the au gratin potatoes. The presentation for both entrees was lackluster; however, both of our steaks were very good, although, somehow despite ordering my filet mignon medium rare, it was a little bit on the dry side. I tried my partners bison NY strip and OMG! One of the better steaks I’ve ever had at a restaurant, and it’s even more shocking that it was priced so reasonably because of how incredible it was. I will likely opt for it next time. My loaded baked potato was also incredible! I tried my partners au gratin potatoes and I thought they were pretty bland, but my partner really enjoyed them. For dessert, I got the crème brûlée and my partner got the Sad Panda Stout float. My creme brûlée came wonderfully presented and it was so tasty! My partner seemed to enjoy his stout float as well.

5 stars – Incredible Food, Gluten-Free Friendly, and the Best Lemon Drop in Town! Sonny Lubick Steakhouse is one of my absolute favorite spots in Fort Collins. As someone who is highly sensitive to gluten, I can’t say enough good things about how well they accommodate dietary needs. The staff is always kind, knowledgeable, and makes sure I feel completely safe and taken care of with every order. My go-to favorites: • The Colorado lamb chops (always cooked to perfection) • Oysters (fresh and flavorful) • Scallops (absolutely delicious) And let’s talk about the lemon drop—hands down the best I’ve ever had! I recently found out the secret: they use a special custom vodka crafted by a former bartender and made exclusively for Sonny Lubick’s. You literally can’t get this drink anywhere else, and it’s the perfect start to any meal. Pro tip: • Go midweek to avoid crowds—makes for a more relaxed experience. • Their posted closing time is actually the last seating time, so plan accordingly if you’re going later in the evening. Parking: You can try for street parking, but it’s tough to find a spot. I highly recommend parking in the Laporte parking garage just a short walk away. You can stay longer than two hours by paying, whereas street parking is limited to two hours before 6 PM and is hard to get. Whether you’re gluten-sensitive or just love great food and amazing drinks, Sonny’s delivers every time. Highly recommend!

This was simply a disappointing experience. I’ve shared this story with a few peers and their immediate reactions were “Lubicks seems like the priciest place with the lowest quality.” Ouch.

The TLDR of this: We sat down at 6:00 and didn’t get food until 7:45 pm. Had a fly in our food and just unacceptable waits in between courses for food that was just ‘meh.

My wife set up a reservation for 6:00 pm. It was my birthday. We’d been looking forward to eating here since we moved to Fort Collins. What a bummer. The room we were sat in was dead silent, no music, so atmosphere was off as you can hear everyone’s conversation in an echoing room. But eh, we didn’t get the prime spot. No big deal.

I want to note our server was very nice. For appetizers, we ordered oysters. Those were great. We also ordered the shrimp cocktail but… it had a dead fly on it! They did comp this. But in addition, we were swatting flys from our table for the entirety of the time we were there. Just off putting for being at a steakhouse where your bill is likely $100-$200 minimum.

Our drinks were great. We ordered food and it just never came out. Reminder, we sat at 6. Around 7:10 or so we hadn’t even received complimentary bread and butter. The server kept apologizing and saying it was in the oven, mind you, the table that sat down at the same time as us received bread and in fact was finishing up their meal by this point. And the table next to us that showed up after us also received bread and butter already. Why not us?? By 7:30 we were frustrated. People had sat down after us, ate and left already. 3 tables to be exact. For what we ordered my assumption is our server forgot to put our order in. They apologized and said it was an extremely busy night. That didn’t seem accurate from looking around and didn’t explain why people seated after us were eating and leaving. We still didn’t have our food. Around 7:45 it finally came out and to be honest. Meh. Steak was good but not $40-$50 good. About a half inch thick and no different than a Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn steak. The potatoes were good but luke warm. My wife got the corn poblano risotto. It was bad, also barely luke warm. For a rice dish, where was the rice? This is a $30 bowl of blended corn. Maybe a 25/75 rice to corn ratio. I get that it’s corn risotto but risotto is a rice dish. A mushroom risotto isn’t only mushrooms, right? The manager did come out to apologize, and she also did comp us one drink which was appreciated.

We were over it though. We asked for the bill immediately upon food being served, ate, paid and got out of there asap. Skipping the “free” birthday dessert and saving another...

I’m very disappointed in this restaurant. My friends and I went to dinner here with a reservation at 7:30 to celebrate my friends 21st birthday. When we arrived we were told to wait in the lobby for a few minutes as our table was being set up. Understandable as they may have been busy (in which they were not).

After being walked to our table it took our waiter 20 minutes to even come greet us. Finally we placed our drink orders and that took an additional 20-25 minutes to receive our drinks, two which were non alcoholic. We did not receive bread or place our appetizer order in this time frame so we politely asked another waiter. We received absolutely no communication when it came to our food or the bread still supposedly being in the oven.

As the night continued we received poor service from our waiter. Another group of 8 walked in and got immediately greeted with bread waiting for them. Our waiter spent 20 minutes socializing before even checking to see if we had gotten any bread or the appetizers. He in fact never verified we had received it. That same table also received appetizers within 15 minutes of them arriving. We were trying to stay positive in thinking this was due to the party size(our party being 4) but were very much proven wrong. After being there for an hour, a second older group of 2 walked in which also received the same service as the group of 8. Immediate bread and wine.

After an hour and a half of being there we finally received our appetizers followed by our dinner 15 minutes later. Once we received our food our waiter very quickly became short with us. The entire rest of the time we were there it felt as if we were a burden on his time. He was short and did not give us much time to look at the dessert menu as well as started to walk away before our conversation, he started with us, was finished! The group of 2 at this point had already left and the group of 8 was finishing up with us. We didn’t get to leave until 9:50, 10 minutes before closing, meaning we were there for a total of 2 and a half hours.

When going to a fancier restaurant it’s an expectation to be treated with respect and higher class. I honestly do not recommend this place after the way they treated us, which I strongly believe is because of our age. This was the first and DEFINITELY our last time ever coming here. Which greatly sucks as we were going to be coming once again in October for another birthday. We will be going somewhere who will treat as equally as they treat...
