We decided to try The Melting Pot for our anniversary dinner. We weren't sure what to expect other than that we'd get some melted cheese to dip stuff into :).

Since it was our first time here and we were celebrating a special occasion, we decided to splurge and we each chose the 4-course experience.

For the 1st course (cheese fondue) we selected Cheddar which was made with aged, medium-sharp cheddar and Emmenthaler Swiss cheeses, lager beer, garlic and seasonings which was accompanied by a selection of breads and seasonal veggies for dipping.

For the 2nd course (salad) we selected House Salad which was made with romaine and iceberg lettuce, cheddar cheese, fresh tomatoes, crispy croutons and sliced egg with our choice of dressing.

For the 3rd course (entree) we selected the Good Earth Vegetarian Platter since we are vegetarians. That included a selection of fresh veggies including edamame, onion rings, artichoke hearts, Portobello mushrooms, asparagus spears, red potatoes, broccoli spears, cauliflower spears, cubed thai peanut-marinated tofu, spinach and artichoke ravioli and wild mushroom sacchetti. We chose the Mojo cooking style for our entree and that was a caribbean-seasoned bouillon with a fresh-garlic/citrus flavor. They also bring 6 different dipping sauces for you to dip your food in after you cook it in the broth. There was a ginger plum sauce, teriayki, tomato horseradish, garlic cream cheese, and two other flavors that I cannot remember at the moment - they were all good.

For the 4th course (dessert) we selected Pure Chocolate Fondue and the chocolate we chose was milk chocolate. This was accompanied by pieces of strawberry, banana, cheese cake, rice crispy treat, poundcake, marshmallows coated with toasted coconut and marshmallows coated with chocolate cookie crumbs.

We really enjoyed the meal - it was something different and fun and it was relaxing to just take our time and make an event out of our special evening. From start to finish the meal took about 2 1/2 hours which was just about right when you figure in 4 courses and those being spaced out. The service was good. Our server was named Joel and he was really nice and attentive.

It was a pricey meal but we were expecting that. We'd definitely go again. It is nice to have different options - you don't have to get the 4-course meal - you can just get the cheese fondue or just the entree or just dessert - basically whatever you like. We both agreed that our favorite parts were the cheese fondue (because we love cheese) and the dessert but it...

Update 8/23 Revised to 5 stars. We decided to try Melting Pot one more time and had a wonderful experience. Definite improvement in the quality of the meat. And I love the timers that they have thru a QR code. Our server Tayler took great care of my wife who was eating one handed. The only negative was the 2.5% sure charge. I don’t like never being told about it. I only knew about it when I looked at the check. I understand it meat prices being what they are but don’t sneak it in.

This is an update to my last review. Our latest visit to this Melting Pot was extremely disappointing because of the poor quality of the steak. Take a look at my attached pictures. At the top there is a piece of steak I tried to eat but had to spit out because of the large amount of gristle. The lower piece of steak in the picture was a piece I cooked but could not bit off because it was too tough. Then I put it on my plate and tried to cut it with the knife provide by the restaurant and was not able to. You can see the grove where I tried.

Then there was the problem of meat that was not fully cut into pieces, see second picture. We had this problem around the table at this meal. It is a bigger problem than you think. You have raw meat on one plate and cooked meat on another. You don’t want to have the raw meat touch the cooked meat. So if you use your knife and fork to try and separate the raw meat pieces you then can’t use them on your cooked meat. I was very uncomfortable trying to deal with this. I should note that the manager said the person responsible was corrected, but in a quality restaurant this mistake should never been let out of the kitchen

Regarding the quality of the meat my past experience in this restaurant was it was pretty good. But now it is poor and don’t expect this to improve any time soon. I talked with the manager at our visit and he said the steak quality was predetermined. I guess this means Melting Pot corporate determined the quality. I suspect the increase in cost of red meat has made them reduce the quality of their meat rather than increase their prices. I wish they would go for better quality because I will not be returning because of the terrible quality of their red meat.

The Melting Pot is a unique experience. Their shrimp and chicken are enjoyable. If you can stay away from red meat you can still have an...

OMG the Melting Pot is my new favorite place to eat in Ft Collins! I had never been there before, and have now been twice in the last month! Let me start by saying I might be one of the hardest people to please when it comes to dining out. After working in restaurants for the better part of 15 years I have a very high expectation for service and food.

My boyfriend and I went for a random date night for the Octoberfeast special. It was a great deal for 4 courses and I loved that there was room for substitutions. My boyfriend can eat more then anyone I have ever met and I was afraid it would not fill him up. Boy was I wrong! We both left full and satisfied. The first time we went, the service was a little slow, because I think the server was double sat, but they made up for it by comping our premium dippers. I had a wine flight to pair with all four courses which was only $12. The food was amazing and the service got better as our server caught up.

We went again last night for my moms birthday and their lobster special. 4 courses and a bottle of wine per couple, for only $40 bucks per person! I have a shellfish allergy so I got the Octoberfeast again and it was once again amazing and everyone else said the lobster was amazing as well. They were more then accommodating to give me my own pot so I did not cross contaminate with the lobster. They had a birthday card waiting on the table for my mom and the service was wonderful. Our server had a trainee and we got a ten dollar coupon for having a trainee. Not necessary, but a nice gesture. The waiters are professional and fun for fine dining, we joked and laughed with then the entire time.

I would eat there every week with my wallet and waistline allowed me too, but I will have to settle for special occasions. It is pricey and for those saying its too much for a place where you cook your own food. Let me tell you, those servers work just as hard as anyone else. For a 4 course experience, it is worth the price, but defiantly a good idea to go when they are having specials! Be prepared to be there for about 2 hours and make a reservation. I cant wait...

We absolutely love The Melting Pot—it’s one of those rare places that consistently delivers on service, ambiance, and flavor. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with professionalism and warmth. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, and every detail feels thoughtfully curated to create a memorable evening. As someone who eats gluten-free, I’m always on the lookout for restaurants that offer safe and satisfying options. The Melting Pot does this beautifully. Their gluten-free selections are clearly marked, and the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. Add to that a menu of delicious mocktails, and you’ve got a place that feels inclusive and indulgent all at once. Making a reservation is simple and streamlined through their online system—and trust me, reservations are a must. This isn’t a place you want to risk walking into without a plan. For a small upcharge, you can elevate your evening with romantic touches that make it feel truly special. The way the tables are arranged gives you a sense of privacy and intimacy, almost like you’re the only ones dining there. The lighting strikes a perfect balance—dim enough to feel romantic, but bright enough to enjoy the artistry of each course. Speaking of courses, the four-course experience is generous and satisfying. From the fresh salad and bubbling cheese fondue to the entrée and decadent chocolate finish, each dish is paced perfectly. You leave feeling full, cared for, and maybe even a little spoiled.
