I give three stars to this place. Below are the pros and cons: Pros:

  1. The staff are very friendly.
  2. The place is nicely decorated.
  3. Most of the food is vegan and vegetarian-friendly.
  4. Their chocolate cake with coconut cream is like heaven in your mouth!!!! OMG! If you come here, you must try it!
  5. The Ethiopian Chai was awesome!!! I just wish they have asked if I want it sweet before sweetening it.

Cons:

  1. This was the first time I had Ethiopian food. So I don't have any previous experience to compare the food here to. But honestly I didn't like the taste. It was very plain. Ans the food was pricey for what I got. I had some plain boiled red lentils on Injera with some side salad. Maybe the authentic Ethiopian food tastes like this and in that case I have to take my comment back and just say Ethiopian food is not my favorite. The chickpea dish was better but still not my favorite,
  2. The Injera was split into random sized pieces that gave me the impression that the food is not fresh. Maybe I am wrong.
  3. The sambosa was OLD! It was reheated. It was burnt on the side and some of the stuffing was falling out. I have had sambosa so many times before. This is not how a...

I really wish I could leave a better review because the woman running this place is very sweet & the first time I came here I loved it, but I believe it's important to learn what needs to be improved if a customer is unhappy. The ordering process is far too complicated. You call & she tells you to text her the order instead.. I texted my order in right after I hung up, no response. I call 20 min later to see if its ready & she says she didn't see my text so she's gonna rush to make my food. Why not just let people call their order in if you're not going to be checking your phone? There was a few other people waiting for food too & I feel like she really rushed making everything. There was zero salt in anything. Just a tiny bit of raska sauce which is the only thing that had flavor. The rice seemed very unneeded to me & just a cheap filler. For the price, I really expected more. I think this place really has potential to be good, but atleast hire another person so you're not doing everything yourself & get a better ordering...

I have been to Ras-Ka three or four times now and cannot get enough. I tell everyone I know to eat there and everyone echoes my enthusiasm. The food is delicious, fresh, and healthy. I eat mainly veggies and this restaurant devotes half of the menu to delicious vegan dishes that anyone would like. I've had the plantain, eggplant, mushroom and other dishes. They are often served with yummy seasonal veggies that are expertly cooked. The chicken dishes are also wonderful. The food is wonderful and it is the environment and warm welcome you receive that makes you want to come back. Hannah is the owner and you can see her cooking in the kitchen. She often comes out to greet her guests and will sit down and make sure you understand the menu and leave satisfied. You feel like you are a guest in her home. She takes pride in only using products that she is proud to serve and will explain this to you. She also makes her own sauce which is fantastic. I love this place! Go and find out...

This place has been on my radar based on excellent reviews but I haven't had the luck to try it for three years, until last night. If you like Mom and pop shops and the feeling of unpretentious, close to kitchen, you will be delighted. If you expect to find diet coke and ketchup on each table, then thos place is not for you. First and greatest discovery was the number of vegetarian plate, almost 70 percent of the menu is vegetarian . You have the option to get two or more meals on a traditional shared platter which is lovely. We tried the mushrooms and tedlas delight (veggie patty) and we couldn't decide which one we liked more. If you are sick and tired of Kroger international food in every core in FoCo, you just try this place. They also offered a seemingly home made kombucha which was simply healing.

Hidden gem in Fort Collins. They do not take reservations but we lucked out and got a table as walk ins. There are only about 5-7 tables, which i think adds to its charm. The staff was limited to one server and one cook (I’m guessing the cook was one of the owners as she checked on everyone and asked how our food was) Food is fresh and dishes are cooked as you order. We will definitely go back on a night when we aren’t in such a rush as it did take a while to get our food. The flavors and presentation were incredible. My husband is a pretty hard core carnivore and not a big fan of veggies and I love vegetable dishes and we both found dishes we loved. I ordered the butternut squash dish (pictured).I cannot wait to take out of town guests here!!
