I had great hopes that this coffee shop would be my new fav spot for taking clients, unfortunately the first visit proved otherwise.
We ordered our coffees, the taste was egregiously disgusting, we asked for some coconut milk to mask the pungent putrid taste, but was given cows milk, luckily the mistake was caught early by my lactose intolerant client, otherwise the situation could have turned shitty, quick - literally!
We informed the guy at the front counter, who I presumed to be the owner, who proceeded to pass the blame onto others and even onto us! He refused to remake the coffee. This was fine as it was disgusting anyways so we decided to finish up our meeting.
Unfortunately this man made the decision to make matters worse and proceeded to walk over to our table, interrupting our meeting and felt the need to go on and ON AND ONNNN aggressively about the coffee and how it wasn’t his fault. As a female, this large man standing over me in my seat aggressively causing a scene made me feel VERY uncomfortable and unsafe.
We ended up just leaving and will defiantly NOT BE BACK. Between the terrible coffee, the negative environment and the conformational staff this place...
Read moreMy wife and I visited this French cafe during a rare break from her intense medical school studies, eager to enjoy some quality time together over French cuisine in a cozy setting. While I was placing our order, my wife stepped away briefly, only to return and encounter an upsetting situation. Despite waiting patiently for her turn, she was rudely dismissed with a hand gesture by an employee—behavior that stood in stark contrast to the polite service we saw extended to other patrons.
As her husband, witnessing how this treatment made her feel—especially as a Black woman—was deeply disheartening. It came across as discriminatory and left us both uncomfortable. I strongly encourage this business to prioritize inclusivity, invest in better customer service training, and ensure that all guests are treated with respect and dignity.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values equity...
Read moreRecently went there my son ordered a piece of cheese cake Hard as a rock inedible. He requested a different kind of pastry they came back with another piece of cheesecake which was just like the other one. And tried to explain to our server he had requested something else. Out came the owner telling us he had to have the cheesecake and he can’t take back another cheesecake. Very rude. I ordered avacado toast. Awful. I said nothing. Took it home and threw it away. Was not sliced avacado just a thin layer avocado mixed with unrecognizable mixture. Also expensive for a cup of coffee and toasted bread with the avocado mixture and one dessert. 34$ plus tip. Don’t mind paying a lot for good food and service. Would rather go to capital grill and spend 100$ for...
