Bamboo Beach Tiki Bar & Cafe — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

My wife and I were staying at Ocean Manor for a small getaway and the first night here we came to the Bamboo Beach Tiki Bar & Café for dinner. It had been a ling day traveling, we were hungry and wanted to have a few drinks while we planned out our night. The downfall is that it was sunday, and the bar was packed full of local regulars for the football games and outside the tiki bar area the tables were pretty full. We found a table and had a seat, after almost 30 minutes of severs looking at us and walking by like we didn't exist, we were getting up to leave when a gentleman named Dan walked through. I asked him what does someone have to do to get service, he looked around, shook his head and walked off. He came back literally seconds later with 2 menus, and took our drink order and told us he would be right back, he just needed to clock in for work and would be right back to us with our drinks. This guy came into work early and ended up jumping in to take care of us because the rest of the staff didn't care. At first I thought he was mad at us but in reality was irritated at the rest of the staff for not stepping up. We had dinner, the Burgers btw are amazing, and the Ahi Tuna was even better than the burger. A little pricey, but we didn't care because we were on vacation. We went out for a little bit and returned around 930-1000 time frame and decided to go to the bar for a few drinks. The service was much better however they were not that busy anymore either. We went back a few days later and received the best customer service from our server Kevin D. and the bartender Alyssa. These two people should be running the place because in all honestly they know what real customer service is compared to the rest that were running around there. I give this place 3 stars because customer service leave something to be desired. It also seems that there is no assigned seating areas for the servers and they just bounce all over the place to serve tables and are totally getting it wrong. Two out of three visits were terrible. Giving one star for view/location because it’s on the beach. First time, completely ignored and disregarded for almost a half hour by staff. Even after I got someone’s attention it was at least 40 minutes before I was able to put in my order and it wasn’t busy. Made eye contact multiple times, happy hour expired, nothing. Things are over priced but I get you are paying for the view/location. Second visit was late night, service was prompt and good, portion of meal was better. Third visit was today, during happy hour. 1/2 price app ordered during HH was not good. Had 3 drinks and thought they were all on HH. My bill was huge! Pointed out I was charged full price for my 1/2 price app and bill was discounted. Then realized also charged full price for my beer. Also discounted. Didn’t bring up the margs even though I watched them make them and they were definitely house margs. HH is 1/2 off wells, 1/2 off domestic beers, and half off select appetizers. They charged me $14 A PIECE for two WELL house margaritas during HH. Literally everything I had was overcharged. Location is gorgeous but you might not get served and if you do you might get price gouged so check your bill carefully. If it weren’t for the one good experience out of three and the view this 100% would have been a one star review. Whether it was suggesting the perfect drink to accompany the stunning sunset or ensuring every detail of my visit was taken care of, Jasmine's dedication was truly commendable.

The atmosphere at Bamboo Beach Tiki Bar is simply unbeatable. With the sound of waves crashing in the background and a refreshing sea breeze, it's the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the beauty of Fort Lauderdale.

I can't recommend Bamboo Beach Tiki Bar highly enough, and Jasmine B. deserves all the praise for making my visit an unforgettable one. This was our 4th consecutive visit to Bamboo Beach Tiki Bar and always asking for Jasmine!
