The Worst Hotel Experience of My Life — Stay Away!
I travel frequently and have stayed in all sorts of accommodations — from luxury resorts to roadside motels — but this hotel tops the list as the absolute worst. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.
Let’s start with the reservation nightmare. My friend was flying from Istanbul with her child and had booked a room under her name. Due to a delayed flight, she updated the reservation to her husband’s name so he could check in ahead of time — a completely normal and reasonable thing to do. But instead of accommodating this simple request, the hotel canceled the booking without warning. The cancellation email was sent just TWO minutes before her husband arrived at the hotel — in the middle of the night after a 5-hour journey — only to be told there were no rooms left. Their excuse? “The name on the credit card doesn’t match the guest’s name.” Seriously? A wife books a room for her husband, and that’s grounds for canceling a reservation with no notice? Completely absurd and unacceptable.
Because of this, a woman who had just endured a 17-hour international flight with a child had nowhere to go. Her husband, who had driven five hours to meet her, was also left out in the cold. To make matters worse, nearby hotels were fully booked too. The lack of compassion and flexibility from the staff made an already stressful situation ten times worse. Not only were they unhelpful, they were downright rude and dismissive, showing zero empathy.
And unfortunately, that was just the beginning.
The hotel itself is a total disaster. There is no soundproofing whatsoever — I was woken up at least 20 times during the night by slamming doors, loud guests in the hallways, and car horns blaring right outside. The room was filthy: stained and torn curtains, questionable sheets that clearly hadn’t been washed properly (my skin was itching all night despite having no allergies), and an awful musty smell throughout the entire room. The atmosphere was depressing and unhygienic — worse than some of the cheapest motels I’ve stayed in.
To top it all off, the pricing is misleading. The website claims parking is $12, but in reality, you’ll be charged $20 thanks to hidden fees they don’t disclose until you’re already on-site. Zero transparency and a complete lack of professionalism.
In summary: this hotel fails on every level — from customer service to cleanliness to honesty in pricing. It’s not just disappointing, it’s outright infuriating. If you value your sanity, safety, and comfort, do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this place as possible. One star is...
Read moreI decided to book a family vacation and I stumbled on this gem. I read the reviews from other consumers and was not completely sold, and had my own questions, so I decided to contact the hotel. I called a few times to make sure information was consistent and it was. I decided to go ahead and book the hotel because I felt it was a good decision. We booked 4 rooms to respect social distancing guidelines but end up having to cancel one of the rooms. The front desk staff was very respectful and helpful with my change. I did not expect to much from this hotel but the average hotel experience. However, upon my arrival, my expectations were EXCEEDED. The lobby area was very clean and the overall hotel had a welcoming scent. Check in was a smooth process and the front desk staff was very professional and friendly. During our stay, housekeeping was terrific, and the atmosphere did not disappoint. We ended up adding a night to our reservations and again, staff was very understanding. For anyone traveling with kids, This hotel is very kid friendly. It is Centrally located with just about everything within walking distance. There is beach access nearby but it’s private. The public access is about a 5-10 min bus ride or a 15-20 minute walk which is perfect. There is a bus that runs up and down the blvd if you don’t feel like walking!
This hotel was magnificent and stayed clean our whole stay. It was defintely one of the reasons we enjoyed our family vacation even more! We will definitely be back! Kudos to this hotel and staff ! this is how a vacationers really supposed to be treated!
I rarely mention my profession which I am a Doctor of Business Administration, so I take note of customer service and professionalism in any establishment I visit very serious. This organization has exceeded In both of those subjects! This...
Read moreAwesome staff, unbeatable off-season rates, and a perfect location 💜 I’d absolutely stay here again and probably will.
Ok so I used to live in SoFlo but moved out of state couple years ago. I flew down for personal reasons, and what was supposed to be a quick stay turned into a few unexpected months. Eric (told me they started offering monthly stays about a year ago and i love that! I booked during the off-season because the monthly rate was a steal. Everyone I came across just had good energy. I’m extra and I talk to everyone alot lol - they all just rolled with it while keeping it professional when ne Avril at the front desk was super easy to talk to and was always on top of everything. Emanuel and Diego were awesome too. I switched rooms twice during my stay, just cause I’m extra like that. I felt bad asking for a second time, but they were kind, understanding about it. Tim in maintenance knocked out the little stuff I asked about fast with no stress. Aw and the housekeeping ladies were the sweetest! I was always asking "dos toallas más plz" lol. I tipped them my best. The location isgreat - it's a short walk to the beach, and close to so many cute spots- bars, shops, restaurants, etc. We had access to both pools, including the one at ther sister property, Ocean Beach Palace. I loved that pool It’s an older spot, so some rooms showed wear, but nothing serious. They were renovating while I was there, which i got to see a couple rooms. Between the people, the location and the price - I know I'll...
