most recent visit on 5/10/2025: Spent 15 minutes shopping, 10 minutes with 3 different employees trying to get THEIR advertised sale price instead of regular price. Their own WD coupons that we get in our receipts and my mail do NOT scan and employees are clueless how to override it. Watch and check every price, discount, etc.at checkout. Would have paid 8.18 more than I should have. Took 3 conversations and 10 minutes to get it refunded. 2nd time in 2 shopping trips. Over $21.00 in advertised specials and coupons I was overcharged. Front end manager said she took off the $5.00 WD coupon. She didn't, until the 3rd time BEWARE!!!!!!!
Going downhill. Last few visits here have not been good. Customer Service could be greatly improved. Keep alert at the register and the deli to make sure you're getting the advertised price and that Winn Dixie coupons actually scan. Deli often inputs the wrong product code. I would have paid $11 more if I didn't catch it several weeks ago. Last week deli price was $2.50 higher than advertised. As I was loading the car, their employee (cart collector), asked me for a tip to take my cart. That is so inappropriate. We all get panhandled enough. Now it's by employees while working. Obvious that SE Grocers is back in charge...
Read moreWinn-Dixie in the Galt is a solid, no-frills grocery store that gets the job done. It’s similar in vibe to a Weis Markets if you’re from up north—definitely not high-end, but well-stocked with the essentials and priced for value. The store is clean and organized, with all the basics you’d expect: fresh produce, a decent deli, frozen foods, and household items.
While it doesn’t compete with places like Whole Foods or Publix in terms of specialty items or ambiance, it’s a great option if you’re looking to save money on everyday groceries. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, and checkout is usually quick, especially during off-peak hours.
Parking is easy, and the location is convenient if you live in or around the Galt Mile. They also run weekly specials that are actually worth checking out, especially on meats and pantry staples.
If you’re looking for gourmet or organic everything, this isn’t the place—but for reliable, affordable groceries and a straightforward shopping experience, it does the job. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a traditional neighborhood supermarket. Nothing fancy, but dependable...
Read moreGreat store but incredibly poor customer service.
During our visit last night an item rang up with the incorrect price. The cashier was unwilling to look into it. We pointed to the flyer with the item picture and sale price but she was unconvinced. We asked to have a store manager come over and help but the cashier refused to budge and said if we wanted a manager we needed to go find one ourselves and bring them over. Rather than just leave all the items there and walk away, we go and search for a manager. After more arguing with the manager finally gave us the price clearly indicated in the flyer.
The manager should have at least apologized for the system clearly not being programmed correctly. Instead she appeared quite annoyed with us.
We are thrilled that a new Publix will soon be opening just down the road because we are not likely to ever shop at this particular Winn Dixie ever again.
Decided to give them one last try. Incorrectly charged items, lost 15 mins lost at customer service to correct it. Definitely...
