I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bo's Beach Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, and it turned out to be an extraordinary culinary experience. As someone who appreciates quality food and is willing to pay a little extra for a memorable meal, I can confidently say that Bo's Beach lived up to its reputation as one of the most pricey restaurants in the area.
What truly stole the show during my visit was their fish and chips dish. It was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment the dish arrived at my table, I could tell that careful attention had been paid to every detail, from the perfectly golden and crispy batter to the succulent fish nestled within.
The fish was fresh, moist, and flaky, and each bite was bursting with flavor. The accompanying chips were perfectly cooked - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The portion size was generous, ensuring that I left feeling satisfied and content.
The service at Bo's Beach was exemplary. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about their craft. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions I had about the menu. Their warm and welcoming demeanor created a pleasant and inviting atmosphere throughout the entire meal.
The ambiance of the restaurant was equally impressive. Bo's Beach boasts a stunning beachfront location, allowing diners to enjoy breathtaking ocean views while indulging in their delectable dishes. The tastefully designed interior exuded a relaxed and elegant vibe, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a memorable dining experience.
While Bo's Beach is undeniably one of the pricier options in Fort Lauderdale, the quality of the food and the overall dining experience make it worth every penny. The exceptional fish and chips I had there were a testament to their commitment to excellence in both taste and presentation.
If you're seeking a top-notch culinary adventure that combines exquisite seafood, impeccable service, and a beautiful setting, I highly recommend making a reservation at Bo's Beach Restaurant. The fish and chips alone are reason enough to visit, but the entire experience will leave you with fond memories that will linger long...
Read moreFirst time here and the best part about this place was the views! Otherwise the service was horrible. I believe our servers name was Isela J (as stated at the top of our check) and for the following reasons, we will not be back.
Two of the 6 members of my party ordered 16oz beers. She brought 22oz beers to the table and we notified her that we only ordered 16oz beers. She says “oh sorry, I brought 22oz”. She did not offer to replace them for smaller sizes, however she still charged us for the 22oz beers even though we only ordered 16oz beers.
I ordered a beyond burger. About 15 minutes after everyone had gotten their food, she stopped by to ask how everything was. I told her I was still waiting on my beyond burger, at which time she finally decided to tell me that they were out of it (I question whether she would have ever told me had I not asked). I ordered a ceasar salad instead, and after another 20 minutes I asked her where the salad was. She proceeded to say “you have 3 tickets ahead of yours, so you’re going to have to wait, is that ok?”. If I am only waiting on my entree because you failed to inform me that my original entree was not in stock, why wouldn’t my replacement be prioritized?
20% gratuity was automatically applied to the entire check, so there was no way to adjust the tip accordingly to reflect the poor service received. Therefore these waitresses have 0 incentive to actually provide good service since they know they are getting 20% regardless. Writing a negative review was the only way I could think of to hold her and others accountable for their poor service skills.
We had a $300 bill and we asked to split the check between our 3 groups within our party. She stated “it’s one check”. No, we would like to split it. She then stated “I can only split it between two cards”. She follows up with her manager who reiterates the same thing, so we had to put it on one card. Not the biggest deal in the world, but just the icing on the cake after the horrendous service we received.
Needless to say, we will not be back. Take your money to any one of the other nearby waterfront restaurants where your money is actually worth...
Read moreGreat location; albeit with no parking. Uber here or use the public lot (paid) across the street on the beach; that said, the lot on the beach can be full frequently and if you enter at one of these times, it can take a LONG time to get out.
We've been here twice now and the food has been a little uneven. On our first visit the calamari was perfect and the second, not so much. Pizza was good both times. Biggest concern is a menu description versus what you receive, e.g. We ordered the fish dip which is described as "TOPPED WITH PAPRIKA & JALAPENOS, SERVED WITH CELERY, CARROTS & TORTILLA CHIPS" Like with ingredients listed in a package; I do have some expectation of quantity based on order listed. The reality was different. There were 3 or 4 jalapeno slices, and the smallest, thinnest carrot and celery sticks I ever seen -- of which there were two each. That's it, two each. (see photo after 1 carrot was eaten - the carrot in the photo is yellowish but only becasue of the lighting - keep reading for more on that) If you've ever had shoestring potatoes or seen large wooden matches; that's the thickness of the celery and carrots. What you get is fish dip (which was decent) a couple of jalapeno slices, a plate full of chips with a garnish of celery and carrot. We kind of laughed when we saw the celery and carrots and asked for more. Our server was nice enough to bring us more right away but we were shocked, shocked to see that we were charged more for what we felt should have been included. It was only $1 but what they served us was a joke.
Lastly, as I said before the location is great and the view from the 2nd floor is very nice but being so near the surf may also be the reason for the odd choice of yellow lighting on the 2nd floor. It certainly isn't for what it does to the appearance of your meal (think of all your food looking a dingy washed out yellow); however, it may be for the benefit of sea turtle hatchlings. If it's for the turtles; I approve but hope they can change to a less yellow look...
