Elbo Room — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

I love elbow room... I go there on a regular basis but they will never get anymore of my money. It was pouring rain like no other. I stopped and went under the little bit of shelter they had outside. I Was told that unless I’m gonna have a drink I was not allowed to stand under there. Unfortunately I didn’t have any cash on me because I didn’t expect it to rain cats and dogs. They only except cash so the fact that I couldn’t buy a drink I was forced to leave out into the rain. I can see if they were busy and tight for space but there was a whole 15 people maybe in there and I wasn’t even inside. What does that say about the elbow room. I’m a bartender so I know what the elbow room is about. At least I thought I did..I send guest at my hotel there all the time when they are looking for a place to go that’s live music and for the most part always fun. Well FYI unless you are spending some money you can not go there no matter the situation.. So I will never recommend any guest staying at my hotel to go there again. I will tell them exactly what the elbow room is about..I’m more disappointed than mad. Either way there are plenty of other places on the beach that’s fun and have better values and better drinks. Go at your own risk. This makes me wonder how clean this place is, only because I realize it’s all about the money. But I guest that’s just business hah.. I never do reviews.. but I was sooo disappointed I had to share.. 😞...

Went here in April. Had visited many times (an iconic institution) always a good time with Aaron Besch. The reason for the one star was his manager this night. I was there celebrating starting a new business. I ran up a tab of $153. I might be having more than usual, but then I was served by both of them. Forgot that they didn't accept cash. I worked with Aaron at Taco Beach shack in Hollywood. Once again the problem was not Aaron. The blond manager got involved and got alll crazy about how I couldn't pay my bill. Cops were called and the situation was explained. I had the money and that Aaron and I were trying to figure out how to use an app to transfer the $$$ The Ft Lauderdale police could not figure it out. So at 55 I was handcuffed and arrested. They attempted to bring me to jail. When my vitals were taken they had to take me to the hospital because of my blood pressure. Thel next day I sent Aaron $153 cash app and then a $100 tip for the problem. He returns the tip in a nice gesture. And I'm done. But no I'm not I have to go to court now. I get a lawyer and they want to tack on $500 for a fine for a bill I already paid. Now being in the restaurant business I get that for 80 years thy have been overseeing young kids celebrating spring break and drunk idiot college kids but what a mean nasty lady. Whatever your name is you need to find another business....

I've made Elbo Room a "must stop" location every time I'm in Ft. Lauderdale (from Michigan). Been going since turning 21, in fact I celebrated my 21st at Elbo Room! I've rung in the new year there, hung out after weddings, I've taken friends and family, even took Uber there once after a flight got cancelled! Always a good time. Bar tenders are great, drinks are very reasonable (especially on the beach), they have great live music, and the second story, beach side balcony is a favorite!

This is a small building, for a popular beach side location. On weekends, holidays, and Spring break, it's packed! But that's why they named the place Elbo Room... Cuz there ain't any! 😂🤣 But who cares?

Located on one of the more famous intersections in the US, Los Olas and A-1-A, it's perfect spot to start your beach day, retrieve adult beverages during your beach day, and end your beach day! Then there's the night life on Ft. Lauderdale Beach... As long as there isn't a hurricane rolling ashore, the strip is alive with people until the bars close.

Elbo Room is nothing fancy. Actually a bit in need of a face lift. And I can't speak on the food. I've never had anything more then apps there and they were just so-so. But I don't go there for food.
