The Halal Guys — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

I am a big fan of The Halal Guys but this place left me with a Bad Experience.

Store closes at 10pm... I was not late to regret it was 8.30pm... and they had no rice available.. they were packing left over those hard plastic kind burnt rice which is left or stuck in overheated trays.... For God Sake they did not had the shame to pack and deliver to other customer's those rice..: That's BAD

I pity for the person who must have received the chicken over rice bowl with those hard plastic kind left over rice that was stuck on it..

That's a Bad customer service.. Need to have fresh stock available to serve... or arleast the courtesy to hang a sign board outside or at the counter that they are out of stock / till stock last..

I suggest they should even update on Google to let others know the time they are out of stock so people who are starving should not waste their time and energy driving all the way up...

I always crave Halal Guys. I wish it was closer to me! Note: open one in Palm Beach!

I've been to this location 2-3x now and I am always impressed with the size of the restaurant compared to the one in Davie. It's so much bigger! I really enjoy the combo platter ($14 )and even though I am tempted with some of their other items on their menu, I personally have to stick to the combo platter just because it's so hard to come by for me!

Walking in last night, they were making fresh chicken and told me it would be about a 5 minute wait. I watched them grill it and their timing was precise. It was exactly 5 minutes later as I got back into line and completed my order. The rice was dwindling down and I asked if they had fresh rice. They brought it out from the back and I was so glad I got two fresh items! Service was spot on and I was able to checkout quickly. Food was nonetheless to say on...

Halal guys... Yeah right ! This place so bad horrible service, such a pity, the food is okay, I mean okay, they can't serve it, the go in the counter is just like doesn't want to be there if you don't want to work somewhere just until it because people come in here expecting at least a little bit tiny appreciation or notice you're a new nice place and for you to have such a rude manner, man I'm like I'm hopeful that next time I return the people are just a little bit nicer because I leave them a tip, in second thought, no I won't return, I know there is a smaller mom and pop gyro a little bit more a expensive down the road, and they actually pretty nice and know how to put a gyro, together, the lady, she was nice, and very attentive and the cook as well, but wow, can't you give your people a little bit more training?
