Smoothie King — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

I find it weird and terribly awkward that I’ve now encountered this Caucasian employee ( Shannon?) on two separate occasions now and wanted to make it aware that the captain/leadership role may not be the best position as this employee fails to showcase leadership skills. Each time I’ve encountered this employee she either doesn’t know and after will state there is no supervisor/manager available at this time to assist. (All my questions/concerns are along the lines of custom ordering or substitutions that I know are options because I’ve done them before. So with today’s encounter as I worked in the food industry and fast food, there is a crew leader for each shift so I asked her who’s running the crew (because again asked for a substitute and immediately told me no manger was available and she didn’t know if she could make the sub) she then says to me we have captains I say ok so that would be you? She ignore the question. I left it at that. She’s wears the purple shirt with captain on the arm sleeve it’s obvious your leader of the shift at the moment. When in manager leadership roles, when running your shift, you make the executive decision for the company and customer and although she’s not rude when approaching, she does lack leadership skills which should...

My addiction...I'm happy to hear they are adding 5 more locations in the FW market; cannot wait for a SW FW location near I-69@Illinois Rd exit!!! Caribbean Way is our family's #1 choice. Try adding strawberry "Gladiator Protein" for 45g protein, @$2.50, or put a little pep in your step with a $1 "Pure Reharge (caffeine)." The customization options are endless! Caution if asking for more of a particular fruit; clarify if there will be an added fee. I've had it done as a courtesy, and up to a $2 fee additional, which is preposterous IMHO. It seems unfair to not disclose this as you aren't getting additional ounces in your cup, and it's not listed on the menu as an upcharge item.

Most are not low carb, and none are inexpensive, but they are an INCREDIBLY TASTY treat! If you need low carb, or have special dietary needs (allergies) they DO offer alternatives. I've only ordered one I did not care for; I simply told them, and they made a complementary replacement. That was not the expectation, however, so may not be routine.

Don't forget about FIVE DOLLAR FRIDAYS, where EVERY 32oz smoothie is just $5!!! Anytime I travel I always seek out new Smoothe King locations, and they are great at making them taste the exact same. Yum! I SIMPLY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Is it...

Sadly, the customer service here is almost always awful with employees who seem to be upset that you've chosen Smoothie King as the place to get you smoothie that day. They're very short with you and it's clear they just want you gone. I've been to this location maybe 10 times now and only once did I get a young girl who actually seemed somewhat kind.

The smoothies are normally pretty good but every now and then I'll order something I know I like just to find out it tastes awful all of the sudden do to what feels like out of date ingredients, missing ingredients, or maybe it's just plain laziness amd someone had simply refused to put the effort in to make my smoothie right that time. I'd say this happens about 25%-33% of the time. With employees who seem to despise their lives, I'm not surprised.

I've been to several Smoothie Kings in several different states and I can say they're all just like this. This shows that this issue has more to do with the owners of each franchise and the lack of care from people at the top of the company. It's too bad, too, because someone with some kind of actual idea of what they're doing could probably turn one of these around...
