Doña Carmen Pupuseria — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Every time we come to visit family here in Fort Worth, we have to stop by and get some pupusas!

But this time, the service was HORRIBLE! The guy that waited our table had such a bad attitude! When our food came out, 2 of the plates were wrong, when we told him that he just kept saying that he didn’t know. He then came back and read our order back to us and realized that he had messed up. But the attitude just got worse.

We had to ask 3 times for a cup of water with limes, that had not been brought out. He never went around to ask if we needed anything else, we even had to get up and ask for boxes to go.

But the worst part was that as we were paying, and heading out the door, he decided to cuss out my brother…as soon as my brother realized what he was saying, and acknowledged him, he( the waiter) ran back to the kitchen.

If this is the type of service that we are going to be receiving every time we stop by, then there’s no reason to keep coming. And it’s sad that they have employees that have no respect for the customers. As much as I enjoy the pupusas, I don’t know if we...

When you walk in there is not a sign or person to tell you to wait to be seated or seat yourself. Asked and was told in a rude manner to find a seat. Once seated waited quite a bit, a better part of 10 minutes for a server. Asked server for menu,brought then not a minute later rudely asked what do you want to drink? What are you eating? Told him to give us a minute came back with drinks a few minutes later. Asked what do you want to eat rudely. Asked for a pupusa and a caldo de res (beef soup) The pupusa was ok waited 25 minutes for my soup and it was cold not like warm cold. Try to eat but could not. Asked for a manager talked to three people no one knew who or where the manager is or was. Talked to the young man at the register and asked him for the manager was told they were not there. Told him my issue tried to give a discount and told him not to get in trouble. The server was a young guy with curly hair looking like a mushroom. The food here is really good! Customer service that you get from here is TERRIBLE!!! Ive been here with family and everytime we get disappointed at how long it takes for someone to approach your table with a menu. Even when you order drinks your having to wait 10-15 minutes just to bring it out. JUST DRINKS. You gotta get their attention just to come back around your table to get asked if your ready and even then you feel uncomfortable when you get someone who’s just not giving you the service you’d expect. Even then when you order your food. It will take 30-45 minutes to come out. I’ve seen customers walk out because they’ve never been approached with a menu. Me and my family decided to go elsewhere and only paid for our drinks because we didn’t even get our drinks when we ordered them with our food till we got the guy who took our order and the effort he gave was just so poorly.
