We come here because the food is good and the salad is fresh and there are a lot of gluten free options. We were there Sunday and everyone was friendly and working hard. But tonight we went there and this was not the case at all! They were friendly enough talking order inside but when I went to grab another plate for salad bar it took a minute for anyone to notice me. An older gentleman (who was busy in the back) came out to help and was friendly. There were 2 young ladies close by trying to look busy "working" at a snails pace. Either of them could have handed me a plate real quick but choose not to put forth the effort. Ok that's fine, we went on had a good meal and left. Then my son called and wanted a sandwich so we went through the drive through. We ordered a gluten free sandwich and drove around to pay. The only thing the young lady at the drive through said to us was "do you want it tosted" and acted like she was really put out that she had to do her job. That's literally the ONLY thing she said to us. She brought the bag to the window verrrry slowly, like we were disturbing her day. No smile, no nothing, and just handed it to my husband. She didn't say thank you, she didn't reply "you're welcome" when my husband thanked her. Nothing. Customer service with tonight's crew was severally lacking. I don't expect everyone to be super friendly like In N Out or Chick-Fil-A employees but responding when someone talks to you should be required in customer service or anywhere in life for that matter. The food is good but I was really disappointed with the...
Read moreMy husband and I placed a To Go order at Jason's Deli last night. Please note that we have always loved their food. My husband got the chicken pot pie and he said it was quite good. The chocolate chip cookie I ordered was truly divine!! 😋 The reason for my three star review (instead of what would normally be five stars) has to do with the Carmela sandwich I ordered.
The Jason's Deli menu DOES list the pepper relish on this sandwich as "spicy" but I thought it'd be ok for me. I say that because I enjoy spicy foods, i.e. pepperoncini/banana peppers, medium heat jalapeños, salsa with some real kick to it, etc.
However, this pepper relish stuff (which was sadly spread over both pieces of bread) was so incredibly hot that I coul not eat my sandwich. The Carmela was supposed to have mayonnaise on it as well, but IF any mayo was present on my sandwich (doubtful), it had evaporated completely. I think the mayo was accidentally left out, which is unfortunate since this might have cooled things down somewhat. So after paying $10+ for this sandwich, my dinner consisted of chips, a pickle and chocolate chip cookie last night. I honestly think Jason's Deli should edit their menu to properly warn folks about just how hot the Carmela sandwich...
Read moreGreat food! The restaurant always delivers food freshly made. I order their salads alot. Their salads are made to perfection. Their vegetables are ripe and never spoiled or going bad. The fruit served here is always fresh as well. They have so many choices of delicious soups. My most favorite from the soups is the spicy seafood gumbo. My second favorite soup is the hearty vegetable soup and my third favorite is the chicken pot pie. It's is not exactly soup. I mentioned the chicken pot pie because it's listed in the soup category. I'm never stuck just ordering one or two items. I make it my business to order something different from the menu often. I never have long wait time when waiting for my order. My order is always correct. I always get exactly what ordered. The pricing I feel is reasonable. Ive chose the restaurant as one of my favorites. I've been a patron of this restaurant for many years now. I like what I like. I'm set in my ways and when it comes to food I'm always gone go with the restaurants that I'm pleased with the most. Their menu has such a variety of foods to choose from. That is one of the things I love about this restaurant. I'm spoiled and love to have plenty of options. This restaurant will forever be...
