My husband and I absolutely love this place. We live two blocks down the street! It was just my husband and I celebrating this Christmas Eve, so we thought we’d call Rogers Roundhouse to see if they were open and if so, what their hours were. I called and they said they closed at 11pm on Christmas Eve. Great! It was only about 6pm. We were excited to enjoy our last time here since we’re moving up to Alaska.
We walked over pretty immediately and a group of customers were leaving, so it was just me and my husband in the restaurant. We were greeted with annoyed passive aggressive stares from a large number of staff who were just standing around the kitchen watching the end to a football game. The staff who stuck out to me with their attitude was the red-haired female and dark-haired female with her eyelashes and nails done. They stood there with their angry expressions staring at the football game with their arms crossed not making eye contact, annoyed more customers were walking in. If you’re annoyed, don’t show that to the customers. It’s a slow day and you’re getting paid, what’s with the unnecessary attitude.
Look, I’m sorry you have to work on Christmas Eve, but we came about 5 hours before closing. If you wanted to leave early but customers keep coming in, don’t work in a service industry, especially with the aggressive body language you give off to customers.
The service given to customers is just as important as the quality of the food and drinks. At least show some courtesy to customers especially since you’re getting paid to be there.
We felt rushed to leave due to the staff’s unwelcoming body language and they were cleaning up, so my husband and I left after one drink and an appetizer. Read moreI've been here numerous times without issue. Usually, everything has been smooth. Tonight not so much. We came in as a group after cycling in Fort Worth as we have before. 13 of us tonight. We put our tables together as we have in the past without issue (no longer under Covid rules either). The waitress Kaitlyn came and told us we could not put the tables together because the tables will break and informed us we would have to split up so we split into 3 separate tables after the manager Kenzie supported her. We were no longer a party but three small tables. Throughout the experience, our water was never refilled, some of the people went and got there own at the bar. Food was brought out in piecemeal over about an hour. I personally had asked for my burger to come with mustard, which was not added and then never brought after asked again. When we asked for the bills, we found out that all of us were charged a 20% mandatory tip despite not even being at tables together. I asked for the manager to remove the tip due to poor service and the fact we were not sitting together. She Kenzie, came with business cards and stated her manager Pete Pennay and Jenna Ward were called and said that they would not correct the problem because it was they're policy. Shameful when you know you have help like this.
I was there just three days prior with a party of 12 all sitting at one table, didn't have a mandatory tip and good service. Emily was great!!!
