I had ordered from here on Nov. 5, 2020. I ordered 4 FRIED avocado tacos. I let them know I could not have cheese on my order (I cannot have it at all). When I received my order at work I had a lot of cheese on my tacos, there were also no beans and it was just fresh avocado and lettuce. (The Fried Avocado taco includes: Lettuce, Cheese, Beans, Fried Avocado and Pico) I've been getting this for years now.
My partner was nice enough to go all the way back (20 mins) to fix the order for me. When they got there the line was long I acknowledge it might have been busy and stressful. My partner made it up to the front of the line and was discussing with the female cashier what happened (at 12:46 Nov. 5, did not catch her name). She looked at my partner and claimed "nothing on the receipt says no dairy". My partner then pointed to the part of receipt that said "Dairy Allergy". She also said something about it being a "fresh avocado taco" which on the receipt it also said "Fried Avocado Taco".
After she realized we were correct and so was the receipt, we got our food remade. My partner took the food and got in the car and luckily checked the tacos.. again.. before leaving. The tacos were still fresh avocado tacos. Not fried. They had no beans. At least there wasn't any cheese though.
My partner went back in and got beans at least but I'm pretty disappointing with this location and the service we received. Not to mention I spent a lot of money there this time around an tipped well. If I get reached out to by management and figure something out with them I will remove my review. I have never left a review anywhere before, EVER. The experience was just very frustrating and I feel wasn't handled correctly. Im a manager at a Spa and have worked in the food industry for 5 years before that. When ever mess ups like that happen, good communication with the the cashier and cooks is key to figure out how to fix the issue. Arguing with...
Read moreFor some reason, I have been on a real taco kick the past few weeks. However, I still think that this taco shop is the best that it gets. I discovered Torchy's a few years ago when the only one close was the one on Northton Street just off of West Rosedale near downtown Fort Worth. My first trip there consisted of waiting in line outside and inside for more than half an hour, thinking, "Damn, these tacos better be good." I was not disappointed. Five stars do not come easy from me, but Torchy's consistently earns them.
Thankfully, Torchy's has expanded from its original food truck in Austin and you can now find locations popping up all around. The Hulen Street location is my go-to taco shop now and I make it there, at the very least, once a month just to see what their Taco of the Month is.
Today I selected one of their Beef Fajita tacos, a Baja Shrimp taco (of which they mistakenly gave me two and then compensated the extra because of the mistake) and the Taco of the Month: the Tailgater, made of panko fried chicken, chopped bacon, poblano ranch slaw and blue cheese crumbles, with their diablo wing sauce and a dribble of hone. Wow! You simply cannot go wrong at Torchy's. Something there will fit your appetite and your tastes. Proceed with caution, though, because some of their selections are truly on fire and not for the faint of pallet.
The service is always friendly, fast and the food is magnificent. Their motto is, "Damn good tacos," and it couldn't be more accurate. So, if you are driving along and you see a little pitchfork holding devil advertising some tacos, do yourself a favor and try out Torchy's for some food truck quality food,...

I decided to try the "Trailer Park" taco, and it was nothing short of amazing! The combination of crispy fried chicken, green chilies, and a drizzle of their signature sauce was a flavor explosion in every bite. The fresh ingredients were evident, and the balance of spices was just perfect.
I also couldn't resist the "Buffalo Chicken" taco, which had just the right amount of kick. The creamy ranch dressing paired beautifully with the tangy buffalo sauce, making it a must-try for anyone who loves bold flavors.
The tacos are generously sized, and I appreciated that they also offer gluten-free options, ensuring that everyone can enjoy their delicious creations. The chips and queso were the perfect complement to my meal, with the queso being rich and creamy—definitely worth ordering!
Don't forget to try one of their unique beverages. The house-made agua frescas are refreshing and add a nice touch to the meal.
