Positives: This location was clean on the outside. Some one was literally power washing as we pulled up. The inside seating was clean. I didn't have to spend time in search of a clean table. I did not use the restroom, so I can't speak to that.
They moved in a pretty timely manner granted that they were not heavy staffed. With taking drive through, in store, and online/uber orders- they moved quickly enough.
The wait staff was kind while taking our order. When she presented our order to our table, she was kind to be sure we had all the condiments we needed.
As a first time guest at a whataburger these things were not unnoticed, and are great cause for a second trip even with my one and a half complaint. 🤣
Cons: I ordered the avocado burger, and though good, it could have been hotter. I think with the avocado and cheese being colder items it caused the temp of the patty to drop. I enjoy hot burgers, so this was a bit of a disappointment. Now for my half complaint. I saw they serve fanta strawberry, which I haven't had in 4 years since living overseas. I got sooooo excited to have my favorite after all these years. Well, I still have to wait because it was not working. Bummer.
I'll come back again to give them another go and hopefully these minor things will...
Read moreCan't go wrong eating a WHATaburger. I guess I ate the original whataburger - #1 on the drive-thru window.
The buns are so delicious and yummy and everything is placed just right from the meat to the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, etc.
The burger is stacked perfectly and it doesn't feel bulky and nothing spills out when you take a bite out of it. French fries are as good as Mickie Ds - soft and nicely salted.
I have read a lot of comparisons between What a burger and In-n-Out. The new kid wants to take on the elder statesman on their Texas turf. Don't get me wrong. I like in-n-out, their burgers taste good and delicious, but they are smaller and bulky - maybe it is because they are halfway wrapped and everything looks like is spilling out.
No comparison on the fries. I do not like in-n-out fries. They are very hard, even though they are freshly sliced in the restaurants.
So I would eat a burger from either restaurant. Pricewise, In-n-Out beats Whataburger on their basic burger, but a #1 is much bigger with a better taste. But if you want the best, you have to pay for it and I don't mind doing it to eat a whataburger.
I truly hope that the family does not sell the company/franchisees as I have heard in the news the...
Read moreWife got off work 3 hours later than she was hopin for. So I figured id go to Whataburger and get us dinner. The drive thru was busy so I went inside and got my order to go. I had to get someone to come to the counter to take my order. They were very short staffed last night. Only 4 people in the kitchen includin the manager. I then waited 45 mins for my order. Got home and found out they got it all wrong. So I went back and talked to the manager. He gave me nothin but attitude and rolled his eyes and said if it was really that big of an issue I could go somewhere else. He ended up givin me what I actually ordered cuz I was gettin mad and wasn't gonna oeave til I got my food. Didn't offer anythin to make up for the mistake didn't ofder to reimburse my order and didn't even apologize!!!! Whataburger usually has much better standards than that!! And not to mention their delivery truck ended up blockin me in and I hadda wait for them to move so I could leave. They should really do somethin to make up for it but I highly doubt Freddy (the manager on duty at the time) cares. It was really obvious he doesn't care bout...
