It seems everyone is a fan of this restaurant in Sedona but yesterday when a group of us ended up there before our hike I found it to be a bit frustrating as I attempted to find something worth eating. Every single question I had was met with a no from our original waitress. Any substitutions like switching a meat for a different meat was an upcharge of $3. Switching to egg whites was a $3 upcharge. Every omelet started at $16-17:99. It felt like all they were trying to do was rip you off if you want anything your way but my focus became the energy and attitude of the younger waitress not helping me find a solution to my dilemma. It came down to her stating she had already spent 10 mins standing there waiting for me to decide while she towered over me without helping me. I wasn't even sure if they charged for scrambling eggs so I asked. Yep...I asked. Lol She didn't care for that much either. Oh well. I tried to let her know I finally found what I was looking for without being upcharged for every change to my meal and that I could have ordered much sooner with my friends had she helped me since she knows the menu I presume. She got so frustrated she said I'll find you someone else and looked at the very nice older lady waiting tables. No attitude from her and a helpful waitress FINALLY! My friend said one of the Mexican breakfasts she loves and orders other places got a D- there.
With living so close to Sedona and with so many other options I'll definitely try out a different place next time. I'm sure the younger waitress will be happy about...
Read moreSo, we were in the main part of Sedona, trying to get a last meal in before heading back to Phoenix. We called ahead to see if they had a dog friendly patio and were told, simply, "Yes". So we drive 20 minutes to go there to see that their "patio" is either a couple tables in full sun in June on a narrow strip of sidewalk, right on the edge of the parking lot, and the tables werent actually set up, or we can sit out back, behind their back door where they are willing to set up a table for us. While I appreciate that they were attempting to be dog friendly, it would not have been a comfortable or enjoyable experience at all. The rough part was that it was so far away from the rest of Sedona and we were on our way home. We mistakenly took a right out of the lot to look for another place, only to realize they were the last stop for food before Camp Verde... it would have been nice if they were a little more open on the phone since we called ahead. Like, "we don't have an established patio but are willing to accommodate." We would have had a lot more choices in the main...
Read moreWe visited Miley’s Cafe about a decade ago and decided to check them out again today for breakfast. We were surprised to be seated right away Saturday morning and quickly had our drink and food order taken. Service was phenomenal and we never had to ask for anything. The location is pretty small, but didn’t feel crowded. I ordered the chile verde omelette with a biscuit and hash browns. I love chile verde anything and will try it on just about anything. Today I ordered it on the side because I was told it was pretty spicy, but when it arrived I didn’t feel it was too hot at all and dumped it all over the omelette. It was definitely delicious and while it had a bit of a kick I didn’t find it too spicy to enjoy. The biscuit was so light and fluffy. We also enjoyed biscuits and gravy. One of the better biscuits and gravy we’ve had at a restaurant. The place was clean and not too loud which made our meal a great time to chat too. Prices are what you typically find around Sedona area, but...
