WE DO NOT RECOMMEND. We are locals who decided to try this place out finally for my sistersâ bday⊠Sunday brunch was definitely our mistake. Also, what a way to put a damper on a once-a-year special event. Should have known to get up and leave when we walk in and NO ONE looks happy to be there or work there.
We were VERRRRRY understanding to begin with, even as we are sitting with menus at a table for nearly 30 minutes without a server coming over.
Abysmal service from EVERYONE WE ENCOUNTERED. Asking for even the smallest things felt wrong, when given a dirty look from the only people who actually showed up at our table consistently (the food runner). First round of food arrived within 30 minutes, BEFORE our ordered drinks arrived. Read that again⊠OVER THIRTY MINUTES FOR 2 coffees and 2 alcoholic menu drinks plus a beer. Would have gladly ordered more, but the server did not return to our table to check on us for over an hour. Again⊠OVER AN HOUR. Our excitement faded to extreme discomfort when the server could be seen staring over at us with a mix of guilty expression and spite, which quickly turned into a feeling of âI wish they would leave alreadyâ. It takes a LOT to make our group uncomfortable, but holy moly⊠you managed to do so in mere minutes. Had to order a second drink from the food runner since our server did not reappear at the table. That food runner gave a quick nasty retort when we asked to order a drink⊠really must not be a super pleasant place to work??
Our server (whose name was never mentioned to us and could only be found on the check, if that was her name) was either always behind the bar making tons of drinks while other employees talked to each other and stood around OR TOUCHED THEIR HAIR CONSTANTLY WHILE SERVING DRINKS (the lady with the blonde hair in front, dark in back) or she was M.I.A. Definitely felt like we threw money in the air and all this place did was catch it and not even say âthank youâ. I think if every employee would have given us the middle finger I would have been happier when we left.
To TOP IT ALL OFF⊠she got part of our order wrong. And when she mentioned that (because she ordered us the wrong cheese plate) I asked for her to remedy the situation by bringing us some meat to enjoy with it, as that was our expectation when she wrote our order down. When the bill arrives later, we end up paying for her mistake. An extra charge was added for meat we got⊠kind of a slap in the face when you consider the service you gave us. You were wrong and yet you still charged us⊠sounds suuuuper money hungry. Maybe putting that one on management, unless our server really didnât care about the service we received.
Our BIGGEST COMPLIMENTS to the chef only, who seems to be in the wrong venue for their many talents. The food⊠wow. But when matched with the service of complacent and amateur individuals⊠not worth the visit whatsoever. The industry is rotting away because of service like we received.
We were told they had a special event during our visit (or that they were preparing for) and saw STREAMS of people walking past our table with Sterno dishes and moving equipment outside. What were these people responsible for while the interior suffered? Our table was not the only table forgotten or disregarded. And we were not the only ones who had to get up from their tables in order to pay their bill or garner some attention from THE SAME SERVER.
I honestly am baffled, that a place with such high quality food can get by with such disregard for their clientele. All kinds of people walk through your doors and should be treated with respect and decorum. That did not exist for us today.
Would have simply enjoyed an honest server who could be polite enough to tell us how long of a wait it would be for her service at the table. HONESTY gets you everywhere in the food and beverage industry. We are generally SUPER easy to please.
It was not an âoff dayâ, like another review said. Our bill was over $200. Still tipped over 20% because everyone has bills to pay. But you didnât...
Read moreI really want to give this place five starts, but there is a serious problem with one of the staff members. One member of the staff (cannot remember her name, but she wasn't running the bar or the food and was acting as a manager) completely ruined what was a good experience.
Dustin was GREAT with the food and service. Shannon (I think this was her name) was thorough and very friendly with the wine and handling our Groupon, which was a gift for our 3rd wedding anniversary. However, the other woman out front made it very clear she wanted everybody out as close to 9pm as possible. I get it, you close at 9pm, but in my more than 12 years of experience in the restaurant/bar/hospitality industry, a 9pm close means no new customer after 9pm and maybe you have a specific last call.
This was not the case here. At 9:15, my wife and I wanted to do one more small pour and we were told NO. Not sorry we have already stopped serving or anything nice, but simply No, I have to get these people out of here. There was no last call and 2 of the 3 doors leading from the patio to the interior were locked without any warning to the customers. Chair were locked up and it was made clear we were not welcome to stay.
On top of this rudeness, the same woman popped her head out the door and apologized to her friends (regulars) because of a guy they welcomed to their table who was also a regular. He did nothing out of the ordinary, but she felt the need to talk to everybody there about him, which was incredibly unprofessional.
If I were the owner of this establishment, this specific woman would not work for me a single day longer and I would seriously consider how I she fell through the cracks of the training being used. Dustin was incredibly professional, smiled constantly and was so super helpful and friendly. Shannon (again, I may be wrong on the name) was patient, understanding and very professional. However, this woman was completely unnecessary.
She greeted it through the door and confused us before passing us off to someone else. The rest of the evening, she was standing around doing a whole lot of nothing. Of course, then, when ruined my evening with her complete rudeness. I would understand if there was a clear last call or she was clear about why she locked the doors, but I watched a guy try to get out and fail twice because she just started locking doors so she could leave.
The food is great, the wine is good, but this one staff member ruined my experience as a new customer. Maybe she thought she didn't need to treat us well because we had a Groupon, but we would have been happy to frequent this place. Now, I am left with $17 on a wine card I am not even sure I want to use because of the possibility of this woman treating us rudely again.
While I would love to recommend this place, I don't know this specific person's schedule and I really don't like that there's no clear cut off for wine. In my experience, every good winery, restaurant or bar has a clear last call and they let every table of customers know it's last call. That makes it clear what's going on.
We were not the last table and I am very sure they let the other table stay even longer, since it was clear they were friends. It's not okay and the unprofessional attitude completely killed the experience. The owner obviously spent quite a bit of money on the place and it's sad to me that they let this go on. Hopefully, they will either retrain this person or let her go as she's dragging down the place.
I highly doubt I will be excited or even...

If youâre looking for a unique and interactive wine experience, Formosa Winery Tasting House is the place to be. The self-service wine tasting is absolutely top-tierâearning a solid 4 stars. With 57 different wines available, you simply load a tasting card, select your pour size, and watch as your chosen wine flows into your glass. The concept is brilliant, and the half-off sampling on Wednesdays and Thursdays makes it even better. Truly a must-visit for wine lovers.
Now, letâs talk about the mimosasâspecifically, the Pineapple with a splash of Cranberry mimosa. This is a special order item, and let me tell you, itâs phenomenal. If youâre a mimosa fan, this is a must-try.
The venue itself is impressive, offering a large event space for all types of gatherings until 5 PM, along with dedicated areas for brides and grooms for weddings. If youâre curious about the upstairs venue space, just ask during the week, and theyâll show you around. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, covered areas, and an overall great vibe. The dĂ©cor is beautiful, and the contemporary, mellow music playing through the speakers adds to the relaxed atmosphere. Plus, thereâs elevator access to the second floor.
Now for the foodâthis is where things fell a little short for me. Iâd rate it 4 stars. The main cook was out, so that could be the reason for the let down. The O.G. Flatbread had plenty of cheese but was missing the BBQ sauce and had very little chicken, which was disappointing. The Pepsi tasted flat, likely from sitting too long, and while the mini cheese board was good, some of the grapes were rough, which is something Iâd expect to be checked before service. Small details, but they matter.
Overall, this is an incredible place for wine tasting, events, and a relaxed outing. The self-serve wine experience is top-notch, and the atmosphere is inviting and well-thought-out. Highly recommend stopping by, especially on half-off wine sampling days!
And donât forgetâorder that Pineapple &...
