We’ve stayed with Jeeves at Reunion twice before and had wonderful experiences, but unfortunately, this most recent stay was a nightmare from the moment we arrived.
The house had no hot water because the gas was shut off to the entire home, which also meant the pool heat we paid almost $700 extra for wasn’t working. While they responded quickly to getting the hot water to the home up and working & the pool heat turned on the following day, things went downhill from there.
The dishwasher was full of mold, smelled awful, and had no power. When we called, they told us they were already aware it was broken and wouldn’t be replacing it until after we checked out—so we had to hand-wash all dishes for our 11-day stay.
Later, the stove lost power while we were making dinner, and we discovered the electrical panel was smoking and dangerously hot. We called Jeeves support like instructed to in the welcome manual immediately (4 PM), were told someone would be sent right away and that they’d look into relocating us. No one at all showed up or followed up until 10:30 the next morning. I stayed behind and missed a planned Disney event, out of concern for a potential fire, especially since several smoke detectors were hanging by wires upstairs. It took three days and three different electricians before the stove was finally working again. Craig the manager for the property said he would buy a hot plate for us to use if they couldn't get the stove working by the end of the 3rd day. (A home we paid $4k to stay in and that was the solution)We were told there were no other properties available to move us to. Throughout the stay, we had at least 10 workers coming in and out, constantly at the door as early as 645am while we were on vacation. It was far from relaxing. The home clearly hadn’t been fully cleaned or no one checked how well it was cleaned before we arrived. The floors were absolutely filthy, with globs of dark long hair upstairs and no one in our family has dark or long hair. Bugs were in the kitchen on the counters, and even after they sprayed, we found dozens hinding under our luggage when we packed to leave and throughoutthe house still alive. We had arcade games didn’t work when we arrived, listing photos were outdated and showed different arcade games then they actually had, and the pool became unusable—it had algae and smelled like wet dog by day 7, and wasn’t cleaned until day 10, just before new guests arrived. We had to arrange for a cleaning even though its stated it will be cleaned as part of the rental once every 7 days.
To top it off, the pool alarm didn’t work for half our stay, despite a posted hefty fine for disabling or tampering with it. And even though they claim no responsibility for lost or stolen items, they allowed third-party workers into the home without any notice, when no one was there. not just into the home but they went thru each bedroom/bathroom opening drawers ect to spray for bugs. Again we had zero privacy during our entire stay because of these things. The waterpark was closed for maintenance at the beginning half of our trip with no prior warning, even though it’s advertised as part of the rental.
This stay was a major letdown, especially given how much we paid. Something within this company has definitely changed since our last stay in 2023. After over a month going back and forth between the booking company who claimed they had to "chase them down" to try to get a resolution. Jeeves offered less then 1 nights stay back for what we delt with. I have pictures to back up every single claim ive made. I highly suggest booking with a different company if your traveling to the area, I understand things break and things are missed but the amount of things we dealt with non stop from the moment we walked into when we left is unacceptable. The refund didn't even cover the cost to eat out while we had no way to cook in the house, so even after all the issue they wouldn't even do the right thing and offer enough of a refund to recover what we lost...
Read moreWe recently rented the W266 property. There were many issues with the rental that need to be addressed.
“Inspector” was present when we checked in 2/16. Was NOT wearing a mask inside the home we rented. She identified that the pool was “dirty” and handed me a sheet of paper indicating that she would notify the management company…..no ETA on resolution. I noted she put a leaf-blower into the back of her Jeeves vehicle….the pool deck was filthy. We had to sweep the entire area prior to using. When calling to request a pool cleaning, the customer service rep suggested I use the skimmer to clean it myself. How is this appropriate? Why should I be expected to clean a rental I paid thousands to occupy? Later, a pool cleaner arrived, and chemicals were added to the pool. Therefore, we could not use it for 1-2 hours per the technician. Why wasn’t this taken care of prior to our arrival?!?!?!?!?
After we could not use our pool due to chemicals being added….I went to the Jeeves “house book” to figure out where the neighborhood pools were located or directions on how to access them. NO INFORMATION. I called the customer service technician to notify him that there wasn’t any information. He was absolutely no help. He notified me that I would need to travel to the Jeeves Management Office to PURCHASE a $20 access card to use the community pools-WHEN I HAVE ALREADY PAID A $40 PER DAY REUNION CHARGE. So frustrating. I had received an email prior to arrival with a Reunion QR code. I had assumed that this code would facilitate our entrance to the amenities associated with this home….WRONG again. The Reunion waterpark was only open until 5, so this was not an option……which I was able to figure out with GOOGLE, again NO information available within the home regarding the included resort amenities PAID FOR with the $40 per day charge.
The loungers on the pool deck are pictured in the listing with comfy cushions on all of them. The cushions are not available at the property. The loungers are incredibly uncomfortable without the cushions. Metal bars poke into your back and butt when laying on them. The management company was notified of this discrepancy, and their response (after multiple calls) was that they were worn out and not replaced by the owner. I found this answer unacceptable, and made this known to the customer service rep. I was told that I would receive a call back from a “recovery” representative. I never heard from anyone, even after additional inquiries regarding follow-up. NOT acceptable for a management company not to return calls or follow-up with concerns.
The cooling system in the home is clearly labeled to not set the temperature lower than 72 degrees or face additional charges to potentially having the system “freeze up”. The home was 79 degrees upon our arrival. It took 3 days for the upstairs bedrooms to get below 76 degrees. Unacceptable. So frustrating when you spend this much money for a relaxing week….sweating while you try to sleep.
Jeeves “house book” provided at this property is in need of some major updating/attention. The garbage instructions included specific instructions for the Champions Gate Community, not the Reunion community. Reunion amenities NOT included as noted above. No mention of neighborhood pools locations, hours, or additional access passes needed. Information regarding available golf options with the reunion access, along with instructions on obtaining tee times-also not included.
Both the grill and fireplace LP tanks were almost empty upon our arrival. What a pain to have to replace BOTH of these during our stay. Shouldn’t this be a part of the “Inspection” prior to rental? I notified the management company, and was given the same answer-not our problem.
We rented this property for the Reunion amenities, game room, and outdoor pool/fireplace/grill. We had issues/inconveniences with every key feature of this rental. I spent much of my vacation trying to navigate the unknowns….how...
Read moreI made the mistake of canceling another resort and booking a house with Jeeves. How I wish I had not done that! I chose this property because the house came with a pool and hot tub and my children thought that seemed like SO MUCH FUN! Turns out the pool and hot tub were broken and would not be fixed during our stay. They smelled like disgusting stink water so we couldn't even sit out back to eat or enjoy the spaces nearby. The water in the pool was SLIME and they were so kind as to eventually offer to refund the extra $200 I was charged to heat the hot tub (which is such a scam it isn't even funny). It only took 8 or 9 phone calls for them to make the gracious offer for that refund. The AC in the house was broken upon our arrival. The house was 85 degrees. I don't even know how many times I called asking for them to fix it and each time they sent the same person who would look at it and tell me to "be patient, it SHOULD cool a degree per hour" once it gets dark. On day 4 and after more calls letting them know it didn't even cool the house below 82, they finally sent the same guy who spent the whole day walking in and out of the house working on replacing a part that he admitted he should have just done on day one. Finally that night it cooled it down to 72 degrees. That meant we got to enjoy one night of our stay with cool and and that was the only night that one of my three children didn't come into our room crying because they were "too hot to sleep." Unacceptable! There was no hot water when we arrived. I didn't find this out until it was midnight and I could finally relax after the whole day of travel and hassle with the Jeeves people about their insane check in procedures. They actually checked me in and then had the audacity to call back an hour later saying they forgot to make a copy of something and I needed to come right back. I said no, I'll bring it by in the morning and they LOCKED ME OUT of the house by changing the door code. Sent me an email stating that and threating eviction procedures. I WAS ALREADY CHECKED IN! At the time they decided to lock me out, I was cooking dinner for my children and they left me standing outside unable to get back in. My pot of food was beginning to smoke on the stove and my 3 children were still inside. My daughter started to scream and cry and I finally got her to go around to the back door to let me in. GOOD THING THE BACK DOOR DOESN'T HAVE A FUNCTIONAL LOCK!!! Otherwise I'm not sure she'd have been able to get it open and God only knows what would have happened. A fire was not far off. The Jeeves people could have killed someone with their irresponsible, shameful tactic of locking me out because of their own mistake. Shame on them. They did come fix the lock on the door when I called about it, but try explaining to 3 children under 8 why Mommy has to lock them in their bedrooms that night because the door doesn't lock. That was real fun sleeping with an eye and ear open. The moral of the story is take that $2k they want for a couple nights here and stay at a Disney resort or somewhere else. Stay anywhere else. I am STILL WAITING for that manager to call to apologize and resolve the issues we had while we stayed. They promised each time I called that the manager would "be in tomorow" and would call. What a joke. Everytime we called we were fed the same BS line about "we will check on that and get back to you" but they never did. Probably because they knew the pool wouldn't be fixed or anything else and didn't want to tell us that until the night before we left and had no choice. I will post this review anywhere I can in hopes it steers people away from this place. We have gone to Orlando every summer for 8 years and this has been the WORST experience and ironically, it was the most EXPENSIVE PLACE we have stayed. Buyer beware! Note: I don't have enough characters to describe all the other issues we had with our stay. The Jeeves people just...
