Hello, I am writing an honest review in hopes that the management would take into consideration to improve the overall service for future guests. I’ve been a big fan of the original Adega for years, and have had many birthday celebrations there. This review is for the new location in Kissimmee. This is my second time celebrating my husband’s birthday at this location. Last year when it first opened, I had an ok experience but felt that the original location had better service. Yesterday, I had a very bad service experience at the Kissimmee Adega. Our party of 4 adults and 3 babies arrived and we were trying to settle the babies in their seats. The waiter comes over and starts pushing drinks on us. I said can you please start with water and Pepsi because we need a minute to settle the kids, and he also took our side orders. He came back to ask what side I ordered again, and the side order still came out wrong. We also requested a table in the corner because we had kids and a double stroller, but instead of moving us to a corner table, they wanted to give us a smaller table that can only fit 4 chairs. I said, how can all 7 of us sit at a 4 chairs table? It doesn’t make sense. Throughout the night, we had to ask for certain items like cheese bread, cheese and guava more than 5 times before receiving it. We also ordered lamb chops that never came out and we eventually just gave up because they were ignoring our requests. It was not that busy for a Friday night. The waiters were standing around talking to each other. Looking over at us and just whispering amongst each other, which I find very rude. At one point, someone asked I wanted a refill of my Pepsi, he took it, and never came back with it. I had to ask, where is my Pepsi after half an hour of waiting for a refill. We put that it was my husband’s birthday on the Opentable reservation and told the hostess when we first came in, but the waiter never acknowledged it. No offering of dessert, no singing, all they wanted was for us to leave so they can clear out the table. At the end, they automatically charged tips even though only 4 adults ate (the rule is 6), which is fine, but when I was tapping my card to pay, the waiter was pointing at the tips expecting more. I said, isn’t the tips included? And he’s like oh yes you’re right. My friend tipped in cash to one of the guys carving the meat because he was the ONLY one doing his job and working hard, while the wait staff just hangs out and chit chat. Overall, I’m very disappointed at this Kissimmee location. I will not be coming back to this location in the future. This is no way bashing on the establishment. I still think your food is great and will dine with you. But you need to have a serious conversation with your wait staff. Maybe you are not that busy on a Friday night because of the service. I am happy to provide the receipt so you can discuss this honest review...
Read moreI almost never leave positive reviews, as I'm a firm believer that a steak I cook at home for $20 is usually better than a $120 steak at an overpriced restaurant. I am a true steakhouse skeptic, but this restaurant has completely and utterly changed my mind. This was, without exaggeration, the best steakhouse experience I have ever had.
From the moment we walked in without a reservation, the service was exceptional. The hostess initially noted the only available table was near the front door in a high-traffic area. Before we could say a word, she recognized it wasn't ideal for our dining occasion and proactively found us the perfect corner table, secluded, but not disconnected. She set us up for a perfect evening.
Our waiter was phenomenal, full of energy, personality, and patience. He explained the dining process perfectly. As someone who is typically frugal, I was just going to order water. However, he recommended the traditional Brazilian caipirinha with such genuine enthusiasm and zero pressure that I felt compelled to try it. It was a fantastic decision; like a perfect blend of a margarita and a mojito.
Once we turned our card to green, we were immediately greeted by an entire team of servers carrying skewers of perfectly cooked meat. The staff was attentive, kind, and had a great sense of humor. We never felt awkward flagging someone down from across the room; they would eagerly rush over to our table. One server didn't have the cut we requested, but she instantly suggested alternatives and continued to check on us throughout the night.
And the food? Every single cut of steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection. From the picanha to the tender skirt steak, the flavorful perfect salty char on the top sirloin, and the decadent parmesan-crusted beef, each bite was a new discovery. The grilled brown sugar pineapple was also an incredible highlight.
We were celebrating my wife's 36th birthday, and the staff came out singing "Happy Birthday" in what I believe was Portuguese. It was a wonderfully fun and memorable moment. They provided a complimentary dessert, and my wife chose the flan. I have always disliked flan for its texture, but this was on another level. It made me realize I hadn't been eating flan, I'd been eating bad flan. This was creamy, rich, and absolutely perfect.
We spent two hours in a state of culinary bliss, never once feeling rushed or undervalued. I went in a skeptic and left a convert. I'm already planning our next visit to try the tomahawk and the tableside hot stone experience I saw another couple enjoying. This restaurant doesn't just sell food; it delivers a masterful experience where you feel like an...
Read moreI was trying to book a venue for 20 people who were all attending a technology event at one of the Disney hotels. Booking any of the Disney restaurants is difficult and expensive, so I started looking near there and ran into the website for Adega Gaucha and reserved a private room at their Kissimmee location. Spoiler alert: I'm really glad I found them.
I first spoke with Luciana, the event coordinator. She could not have been more professional and accommodating. I changed the number of people several times and even changed the time of the event the day before and Luciana took care of everything. I had her cell phone number and was able to speak to her when needed and she was very prompt to return text messages. Very available and communicative. She also was there when we started the event to make sure everything went off without a hitch and to meet us in person. She had looked at my email address and gone to our website and had our logo put onto a sign at the entrance of the private room and on the monitor screen inside the room. That was an unexpected and much appreciated surprise! Another big surprise was when the dessert plate came out, they had our company logo drizzled in chocolate on the plate. Incredible touch!
Our waiter Marco was on top of everything. He kept the wine flowing and kept the people with the meat skewers circulating through the room regularly. The GM of the restaurant came in to greet us as well. Great service.
The food was excellent. Everything was fresh on the salad bar and the variety of meat served was cooked to perfection.
From Luciana and Marco and a lot of other people there whose names I never learned, it was an incredible experience at a very fair price. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend using Adega Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse for any private event you might be hosting in the area. Or just to go in and...
