One of the nicer Big Boy establishments we have been to. With that being said there are some things holding this establishment back from getting a 5 star review. Its not impossible and I hope my next visit I can change my current stars. Lets start with the Salad bar. The glass needs to be cleaned better as that's one of the first things people look at. Once I looked at the salad bar itself I must say y'all need some education on how to keep a presentable Salad bar. #1 as items get low they need to be put into shallower containers to keep a full look it also prevents crusty sides. which ultimately deters customers. #2 that macaroni pasta was gnarly looking if it gets to that point you should pull it and put a filler item, is preferred but if not capable of doing so you need to put and empty pan in that spot. Never compromise your food quality to fill a spot. Lets Move right into the food we ordered. Appetizer was the Pretzels with cheese. Pretzels were okay disappointed they didn't have any type of pretzel salt on them. least they were soft and warm. the cheese however had a crusty film that I know exactly why ; it sat under a warmer the entire time you warmed up my frozen pretzels. The cheese itself was mediocre at best . the best part is they give you enough cheese with the 5 pretzel bites to eat ten pretzel bites. Next up to bat is the sandwiches'. I was told the Patty Melt was great. Personally on my 1/2 lb. shredded beef and cheese was definitely a little dry. Not the worst I've had. The Onion rings were the best thing I had besides the salad I made for myself off the salad bar. To the Chefs that day if you're not going to take more pride in the B.O.H. then maybe you need to look for a different line of work. With all that Being said lets save the best for last and move onto the atmosphere of the establishment. Honestly it wasn't very busy when we got there. however lots of tables were riddled with different cups plates etc. with no sign of lots of people. So potentially I just missed a rush but it seemed like it was just lack of employees working together/ or a lack of employees on the shift possibly but they seemed to have a decent crew since there was at least three people standing up front when we walked in. I will always give credit where its due and that is coming up . all the overhead vents I looked at were clean for the most part some dust on them but you can tell they get cleaned often. there are some tiles that need to be replaced its a cost you shouldn't skimp on for multiple reasons. The Crack in the wall that is in the middle of your photo and logo is a focal point inside your store it should be addressed immediately. Now I will say I did start with the bathroom as always when going somewhere like this and it was actually pretty decent. Onto our final part of this review and the best part TBH. Our Waitress Keri . You did amazing truly you did. I do have a few things to say . #1 with lemon slices they need to be presented on the rim of a glass never shoved into the ice. with that being said I don't know who cuts the lemons but there is a better way that will not only save the company money but also will give you a better presentation . You're definitely a hard worker I seen how much you were doing by yourself. You bussed several tables while i was there. It also seemed like you were taking most the tables which were spaced out weirdly. I want you to start taking more time to spot clean your uniform and if need be ask for help from your fellow employees or Manager to cover you. Which Brings me to the Manager How Dare YOU allow one of your employees uniforms to get to how I seen it. You should be the person caring about the image of your store and employees not me. If that means you take over for her so she doesn't loose tables just to get drinks and an app so she can represent your store the best she can, then that's what you do!!! First thing we have stopped here before because we coach my grandkids in sports in frankfort that visit alone should have been a eye opener to never return . But on this visit the bathrooms were very disgusting. We sat down the waitress came we got drinks had to wait for straws. We ordered chili sandwiches and fries asked for chili to come out first NEVER got it. Watched our food being put in the window (getting cold) while the server was just walking around looking lost. And flirting with the cashier. Manager came over we told her we were waiting on our chili she leaves to get it but by the time she got back the server decided she should put the good on a tray and bring it out when the manager seen her she told her to wait but by that time she was next to our table so we said forget it give us the food and forget the chili the server put the food on the table and walked away we had no napkins, no silverware, the sandwiches was dry I had to AGAIN go up and ask for those items the manager did not try to make this visit pleasant and the bill was 32.00 not that we wanted anything free we just wanted good service and great food how Frischs used to be but this one location is far from Frischs standards. When we finally got the check the other manager came to the table and asked how things were we told her it was awful and we would never return to this place. Since I have two small children in the car, I ordered ahead giving ample time to prepare the order, drive thru and pick it up. Easy right? Well it’s not. I was told to pull ahead by a very nice young lady when I stated I was picking up. Get to the window and the diva there proceeds to belittle me to everyone in the kitchen that I should have came in for this. Loudly, and so I guess I would become educated on what she wanted me to do. Again, carrying food and children was what I was trying to avoid. I guess grabbing a ready and sealed bag and sticking it out a window with a thank you, or have a nice day was just too much for our customer service ignorant Karen, as all I received was an arm, and a slammed window as she walked away, Now Frisch’s, I did you a favor ordering ahead rather than ordering at your drive thru so you didn’t have to prepare multiple meals as I sit there holding up your line. But what I got in return was a rude, again, service ignorant, individual there being the face of your business. If the ability to order ahead, and handing off the order is too much for you, perhaps don’t offer it. If handing me a bag at the window is in fact too much, tell me that. So I know what to expect and I’ll plan better. Don’t just slam a window in my face and walk away. Order, drive up, grab, drive off. That was intent.
