Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Frankfort

I ordered a large steak and cheese, half of it just steak and cheese other half steak cheese with mayonnaise and mustard with a medium fry, I got a large steak and cheese with onions, mushrooms and banana peppers. I took the sandwich back to the counter and told them what I had ordered. I waited for 10 minutes and went back to the counter and my sandwich was still not ready. At this time had been in the restaurant 30 minutes for a steak and cheese and medium fries, the most basic sandwich you can order. There were 5 people working with 2 guys just standing around while the others were making other sandwiches, at this time I requested a refund. The manager offered no apology for the wait or the incorrect order. I got my refund called other Penn Station across town ordered the same sandwich and it was ready when I arrived. The lack of training and terrible customer service are reasons I will not visit this...

Staff is always super nice and friendly at this location so my two star rating is strictly due to the fact that the young man who checked me out and took my cash at the register, never took his gloves off after he handled my money and went ahead and made my sandwich. I’m sorry, but that is definitely something that is not acceptable. This is not the first time that this has happened and I felt obligated to leave a review since it happened again. I have worked in the food service industry, and that is a big no no… Handling nasty money and then making someone’s sandwich. And for all, I know, he could’ve had those gloves on his whole shift, touching countless money. I paid for my food, but definitely did not eat...

I called to place an order over the phone and was put on hold. I remained on hold for more than 20 minutes as I drove to the store. I went in and there were 2 employees working, and only 1 customer in the building. When I asked the employee why no one came back to take my order, she was extremely rude and then lied and told me that she picked up the phone but no one was there, so she hung up. I showed her my phone, proving that I was still waiting on hold. She then picked up the store phone and hung it up, disconnecting the call.
