Decent food. Poor Service. Uninterested management.

The food is good, but never ever order Doordash with them. Two orders in a row (a Saturday night and a Monday night), they allowed the driver to leave without a drink. They blame the Doordash driver, and the driver blames them. The customer is the one who gets the shaft.

I'll tell you who's fault it is: It's Hattie B's. These sales cost them almost nothing. The customer doesn't come sit in the restaurant and require cleaning afterward. The customer never takes up space in the drive-through. No Hattie B's employee ever has to wait on or spend time with the customer. And so, Hattie B's has a higher gross profit on a Doordash customer than any other customer segment. For that, the customer gets zero service. How difficult would it be to simply have an expediter to ensure that the DD driver takes the correct order and the whole order?

When I commented on the time that we now had to wait for the food, both managers I spoke with responded, "Well we delivered the food." How about I bring you some food and then give you a drink 25 minutes later? Once I gave them that example, they both agreed. Why couldn't they think of that on their own?

What's wrong with restaurants that make them care so very little about their customers? From Chick-Fil-A to Taco Bell to Cali Burrito, no one can get it right, and I don't know why. This is not rocket surgery or brain science. Hire an expo. Stop stealing from your customers, because when you send out incomplete orders repeatedly, that's what you're doing.

By the way, Hattie B's didn't even have the common courtesy to send out fresh food. By the time we got it, the food was over an hour and fifteen minutes old. Just poor, sorry service, and cold, old...

I went here for my first taste of Nashville hot chicken as I was passing through. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, recommending certain dishes and heat levels. When I got my food I was blown away. I almost skipped this place in my travelong food sampling because I mistook it at first for fast food. It isn't. The chicken is crunchy on the outside and juicy and tender inside. The heat even on medium has the perfect kind of stinging, hot, kick, and the sides were some of the best of their kind I've ever had. Partway through my meal a waitress discovered id never been here before and brought me one of their biscuits with honey butter on the house purely so I could experience more of their menu and let me say, she was not wrong to say they were a highlight of their lineup. I can honestly say their spicy chicken dipped in the sweet sumptuous honeyed butter was among the best flavor combinations I've ever had.

My pre conceived notions continued to be unhelpful as I received my banana pudding for dessert. I expected store bought artificially flavored bright yellow gelatin. Instead I found an apparently homemade, creamy, Custard confection with cake and real bananas whipped into a sweet, fruity, heaven.
