Lunch at The Vine with family! 😋 #virginiaeatslocal #shoplocal #franklinva #thehubsvine #hubspeanuts

The food was really good. I had the pulled pork sandwich and had a taste that I've never had for a barbecue sandwich. It was unique. The service was great. Didn't really like of payment up front which included tip. Really was uncertain what to expect after ordering and what do next. Especially for visiting for the first time. Someone does bring out your food, but it's really a waitress. So you have to go get your own refills. But someone does clean your table off once you are finished. So that is why it's kind of confusing of how to tip and who exactly is getting the tip. I have noticed recently at several restaurants now that it seems to be a team effort which really helps out with the customer service which has really declined in recent years. The area was really open and a little intimidating but it was unique. Well definitely return again though.

We’ve come here for peanuts and chocolates/peanut munchies. Today was our first lunch and was a very pleasant experience. The BBQ and the Mediterranean wrap were both excellent. They have locally churned ice cream, a coffee bar, and gift items. There are games available for families to enjoy playing. The building was a former grocery store that now serves as a restaurant and peanut storage and processing area for the locally owned Hubbard Peanut Company. Definitely a must try eatery when visiting Franklin. Located next to Tractor Supply.

Went the Vine for lunch in Franklin today with Sharon, my sister and friend both from the Roanoke area and Dad and Nancy. This was my first time there to eat. I will have to say that luncheon was right up there with the worst dinning experience ever. Arrived at 12:30, and yes, it was busy. Two of our party of six got food in 40 minutes. The rest of us waited. Then two more got food. Dad an Nancy never got theirs. At one hour 5 MINUTES they went to see what the issue was and the food was coming out the door. They opted to just bag it and leave since the rest of us had already eaten. My BBQ was like a sloppy Joe, not good. Sisters FRIENDS burger plate was good, sisters two ham biscuits which were about the size of a quarter were so so. Sharon's chicken salad was good and dad and Nancy's meal I don't know about because they didn't get to eat it there. I don't know how the place SURVIVES. You seat YOURSELF. The problem with that is if there are two people sitting at tables for 6, a party of six might have to wait for the parties of two to leave or in this case politley ask the couple to move to a table of two. So that's a dumb idea. Then you order at a order station and go sit down in these Steel hard as hell uncomfortable chairs. Then if your food ever comes these girls go searching through the place on a quest to match the food to the customer.... As the food gets cold. Again, dumb. No apologies from anyone after Stacie then Sharon went checking on the food two separate times. And I don't want to hear that excuse of "we don't have enough help"...Thats Not my problem. So there you go, my take on the Vine to dine. Needless to say, I will not...

I'm new to the area and came in with my 3 year old son. He wanted a grilled cheese but we where told since it was 4:30pm they weren't serving food just drinks and ice cream. So I got a coffee and a scoop of ice cream (since we made such a long trip to get here) right after we sat down a man and his two kids came in and placed an order for wraps and French fries.... I was so confused why I was told no food? I made sure to specifically confirm so no food after 3pm? And the woman said that's correct...... I'm still confused by this and have no idea what special membership this man...
