Tierra y Taza — Restaurant in Frederick

Absolutely loved this spot in downtown Frederick! Tierra y Taza has such a warm, inviting atmosphere that celebrates Latin American culture in the best way. I ordered the Costa Rican pour-over, and it was so smooth and flavorful it didn’t even need cream or sugar. I also tried Sandy’s Creation(sourdough with arugula, pesto, cheese, and turkey), which had all my favorite things in one bite. The conchas and empanadas were also amazing, packed with flavor and baked perfectly.

I stopped here while visiting from out of town for a wedding. The main draw for me was cold brew, which doesn't seem to be a common option among the coffee shops in town, and the coffees I got here were out-of-this-world amazing! Smooth, chocolatey, just delicious cold brew!

I’m so excited this shop opened. It’s not your typical coffee shop with bacon egg and cheese bagels (not that there’s anything wrong with that). Their beef and chicken empanadas and coffees are delicious and I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is light and cozy.
