First off let me say that this place is way overjoyed and overpriced. Our experience was very disappointing and we do not see ourselves ever returning to this business based on the quality for the price.
It's a newly opened business, so the long wait in line was totally fine and understandable. Upon ordering, we were sad to see only a very small selection of cookies were available. We ordered a 4 pack of cookies, costing us about 18 dollars with tax and a small tip, all different flavors so we could try their palette.
We ordered two warm cookies, Rocky Road and Kentucky Butter. We also ordered two chilled cookies, Chilled Sugar and Chocolate/Mint.
The Kentucky butter: 8/10. It was warm, had a nice soft floury taste and was very moist with a light butter aftertaste.
The Rocky Road: 3/10. Took one bite and was immediately done. This cookie was super dense and left an immediate bitter chocolate aftertaste.
The Chilled Sugar: 1/10. It literally taste like I was eating a poptart without the filling. The cookie was dry, tasteless, and the frosting was way too sugary. Honestly those cheap frosted sugar cookies from Walmart are way better than this flavor.
The Chocolate/Mint: 4/10. The Chocolate cookie was still pretty dry on this one. I wish there was a richer chocolatey flavor. The mint frosting was pure sugar with a very light artificial mint flavor. We honestly would of preferred eating mint girls out cookies over these any day.
For the hour wait, and the price for these cookies, we were hoping these were going to be the best cookies we ever had, but we were sadly very disappointed. We were really hoping for some flavorful selections, or maybe some cookies with some homemade buttercream. Either way, almost 40 dollars for a box of cookies is not worth it even if they had a better selection. I like the concept of the business but I think they could do so much better.
So my final opinion on the matter is, please go and try them for yourself, but be prepared to regret your desicion on spending your...
Read moreIn their favor, the cookies are HUGE cookies and cost $4+ each. So, it’s a good value.
A friend and I ordered a “flight” to share tonight with three kids.
Even without the 40 minute wait for a pre-paid curbside order, I would not be impressed.
They taste like store-bought cookies.
Duh.
They are overly sweet, kind of undercooked, and sort of bland. Of the German Chocolate, Milk Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Churro, and Chilled Sugar, our favorite was the Churro. The kids (who, granted, have sophisticated palates) tried them and asked if we could make some cookies instead.
The store is cranking out batch after batch to meet the demand (people were standing in a line outside for 30 minutes to order)and they ran out of the German Chocolate while we were there.
Some of the cookies had come right off the cooling racks and were boxed before fully cooled - not good for the Chilled Sugar and Churro - and the heat in a lidded cardboard box added to the excessive moistness. Let them cool all the way before you eat them.
We aren’t going to eat the rest. I feel stupid. I could have bought the ingredients for far less than $20 and made an entire batch of better tasting (albeit smaller) cookies in less time.
But, the point wasn’t about making and old cookies at home. It was about getting cookies people were raving about.
A few years ago, I worked part-time for an international hotel chain that served freshly-baked cookies in the lobby in the evening.
That is what these cookies tasted like. Cookies that hotels bake and leave in the lobby to create a “homelike” scent for ambiance.
I am really not sure the demand is really because other people find them out-of-this-world delicious.
I think it is more about wanting something everyone else wants and hasn’t gotten yet, so they can say they got there first.
Or, like us, it was something new to try and trusted the opinions of their...
Read moreI feel like this place has great potential, I’ve just not experienced it yet. If the cookies were actually serve correctly, I think they’d be good. This is only my 2nd time ordering from the place, but each time I’ve not had a good experience. 1st time was no fault to the store, the delivery guy opened my cookies, but once I called, they replaced them; so kudos for great customer service.
And it was that great customer service that brought me back to them. However, my second experience was still not great for these overpriced cookies.
Placed an order at 9:50pm last night thru the app to pick up 4 cookies that are supposed to be served warm. Instead, I received cold, old and stale cookies that had to be sitting around because I live less than a mile away and by the time I got home, the cookies were hard. The store was prepping for closure but since the app allowed me to place an order, I assumed I’d receive the same fresh cookies as if I placed an order earlier. But instead, they decided to be lazy and give me whatever they had lying around.
I tried calling, but they were closed. So to sum this all up, if you don’t want to do the job properly after a certain time, shut down the app so people can’t place an ordered. I expect to receive the same product no matter when I place the order because I’m paying the same price. And even though they say the 3rd times a charm, I probably won’t...
