I’ve been here multiple times and honestly your experience is going to depend on whoever is working. There’s one guy who has a thicker accent and always gets the order wrong and doesn’t care. He was working last night when I ordered the pound of asada and that order was wrong. Worked this morning probably shift wasn’t over and this order was wrong. I’ve had my food remade a lot having to wait there longer or even drive back to correct it when it’s him. The lady that work there is the best. She’s always so kind to my family and kids. But this guy I swear has a problem with us because I ordered the quesabirrias this morning with no onions and he tried to tell me that’s just how it comes when I’ve ordered it without onions before no problem. Picked it up and there’s an overload of onions. I literally had to pick them out and the cheese all went with it. And the menudo had chunks of onion too. I can’t eat onions or I bleed from the inside btw but screw my dietary needs right? The pound of asada I ordered last night was supposed to come with cilantro and cabbage on the side but he gave me a container full of onions with cilantro on the side. No cabbage. The flavor of the asada isn’t even good. I just eat it cuz my kids are fine with it and it feeds everyone. I have to order it extra crispy so I don’t taste their seasonings as much. Sometimes it tastes watery and it’s off putting but whatever.
For how much I’ve spent here and him consistently messing up my order, I’d say it’s not worth it anymore. I’ve used this place for my baby shower years ago but now the service has gone downhill. People are working too hard for their money to be risking it on food that could harm them when certain employees don’t want to do their job correctly. Anyways. Rant over but yeah. I appreciate the lady for always giving my daughter a quarter for the machine tho. She’s always so friendly you guys. My daughter vibes with her for sure. Screw him tho. Not worth risking it. Main reason for coming here was that lady and that...
Read moreI am a FCC student and walked across the street one day to try this place out. My mom is an immigrant from Mexico so I grew up on some good Mexican food.
I was pleasantly surprised by the chorizo breakfast burrito. Tacos y Tortas Chalios is now my burrito place. I tried the Asada Fries. They had at least twice as much stuff on the fries as someplace like Robertito's, and it was laid out beautifully. Just had some 10/10 Juevos Rancheros as well.
The prices are beyond reasonable and are equal to or lower than anywhere else I've been. $8.00 in 2023 for a fat burrito filled with Chorizo? Solid deal.
The atmosphere is pleasant, and the people who work there are beyond respectful and courteous. The guy who looks like the owner goes out of his way to have camaraderie with the customers, and a woman who looks like either his wife or daughter makes the food better than anyone.
This really is such a nice place. Recommend...
Read moreDude don't be foolish. If you're going to the franchise burger place next street over you're missing out on some good a** Mexican food that is a way, WAY better was to spend your money, 10x faster and just better food. Oh yeah, they also have some of the most bomb horchata I've ever had, you actually want the ice to melt because it's THICK yo! The place is located in an old Taco Bell from back in the day when they looked like an adobe mission with the Bell on top. Say young blood, did you know; that's where T-Bells name came from? But today you can call the place Tacos Y Tortas...
