Great place, but I have some feedback that I would like to be addressed by the new owners immediately (for the sake of their business):While I genuninely appreciate the smiling faces every time I walk in, there are some critical issues impacting the customer experience:
Barista Training is Essential My family's recent order took over 20 minutes, and the lattes were lukewarm. This indicates a need for significant barista training on milk steaming techniques and efficient workflow (we ordered an oat cappuccino and a turmeric latte). Untrained baristas negatively impact drink quality, speed of service, and ultimately, customer satisfaction. Invest in your baristas, and you'll invest in the success of your business.
Small things that can be fixed Immediately:
-Wobbly tables are a constant annoyance (and dangerous with boiling hot drinks). Fix them. -The self-serve drip coffee is perpetually empty. Ensure it's consistently refilled.
These are not suggestions, but necessary improvements for your coffee shop to thrive.
Thanks so much, and cheers to many years...
Read moreIt was a family trip to Vail, the kids were sick and we hadn’t been sleeping. I didn’t want to run my family off the side of the mountain from lack of sleep, so when I saw the giant coffee logo for this shop in Frisco I took it as a sign. I pulled over, went inside. It was very clean and peaceful. If I didn’t have my family screaming in the car I’d have probably taken a nap. I let the polite employee with the surfer hair know I was in need of a pickup, and he hooked me up. I went with the double cappuccino over an americano, thinking it would cool and be drinkable faster. It was great, I grabbed sugar anticipating the drink being bitter, but it wasn’t needed. We successfully made it to Vail, the kids got to play on a pirate ship in the snow and I didn’t fall asleep while driving once. If you’re ever in Frisco, I highly recommend Abbey’s Coffee for the drinks, the service and the...
Read more**Update: reduced my rating from a 5 to a 3 after the sale and change of ownership. I have been in pretty frequently since the change but have grown increasingly disappointed. We ordered breakfast burritos over the summer and it didn't sit well with my mom and was overall disappointing. The latest stop last week, I ordered a bagel - my usual (no cream cheese just the bagel) paid almost $4 and it was not at all fresh. The quality and freshness of the food seems to have declined and the cost is just too high to pay for that. Such a bummer as this has been a favorite of mine in the county for 20+ years and will now take my business elsewhere.
