I had a great stay at this hotel. Not sure what the negative reviews are about. This is a 2 star hotel, of about 16 rooms with no breakfast and no daily service (you simply tell them if you need new towels etc). They do have a coffee bar for the morning and happy hour 4-6 pm every day where you get a 1 free alcoholic drink, and occasionally have live music. The hotel and the room are extremely clean, updated/modern and fully functioning. My room had a beverage fridge, though I did not use it. The bathroom had plenty towels, a hair dryer, and shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. The check in woman was extremely nice and pleasant, as was the check out woman. The cleaning staff was present daily to clean the common areas and again did their job with a smile. After 6 pm, the front and back doors are closed, and there is a keypad on the doors for entrance- each guest receives a text with their own code for that door that lets them in. In addition, your own room has a keypad and each guest receives a different code for their own room's doors. The closing of the front/back door depends on the guests present- if someone doesn't shut the door fully, yes technically the front/back door are then unlocked/left open, though still you have your own room door that has a different lock. Every day, usually in the morning, I did notice that the front door was left slightly ajar, but that is not a reflection of the hotel, rather a reflection of the guests who didn't take that part of security seriously. The front door is really in a foyer so it is the second door that needs to be opened in order to enter the hotel [the first door that is outside doesn't have a lock]. The location of the hotel is perfect, right on main street, with a wonderful bakery <2 min walk east and a ski rental shop [Rebel sports] less than 1 min walk west. There is a great small German bar straight across that even serves mulled wine/gluhwein. The bus stop for Breck is about a 4-5 min walk maximum east [directly in front of Snowshoe Motel] and comes every hour at :34 past the hour- I took this and found it to be reliable. It leaves Breck Gondola at :45 past the hour. Overall, this was a perfect no-fuss yet modern, clean and safe hotel, in a central location, which I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this area.

Hotel Frisco was AMAZING! Not only is the location ideal for a cozy and quiet vacation but the hospitality of the staff is top notch. Downtown Frisco has something for everyone. The restaurants were all very yummy! There are cute shops to browse through all down the street that the hotel is on. The proximity to a bus stop to take you to downtown Breck and other skiing locations was only two blocks away. Hotel frisco is adult, family and pet friendly! Our favorite parts of our stay: The happy hour from 4-6pm, is key!!! We loved grabbing a glass of wine before dinner and chatting with other guests or the hotel managers. They also have local musicians that entertain on Fridays and Saturdays during the happy hour time. The community “living room” areas. This is a great spot with the fire to make you cozy. They supply granola bars, water, coffee, hot chocolate, liquid IV, games and books and much more! They are very accommodating during your stay. Hotel management was top notch! Nancy is such a bright character. She is fun to sit and chit chat with. We watched the Super Bowl with her and other guests and had a great time. Bri is very sweet and helpful during our stay. As well as, Kate, she talked with us and made us feel at home in a hotel! The hotel is pet friendly!!!! I think this is one of the best parts! Our dog had an amazing time. She loved going out in the living room area and seeing Nancy, Bri and Kate, as well as the other guests. The location of the hotel is also great for pets. We walked to the bus stop everyday to go skiing and snowboarding. This was very convenient because we never had to drive anywhere! If you are booked for an extended stay management makes it a priority to call their guests and ask if they would like a “room refresh”. A day before we were suppose to check out, there was a winter weather advisory and we live 13 hours away. We ended up leaving Friday morning instead of Saturday. We let management know via text and they were generous and gave us a refund for the Friday evening. Management always answers texts within a timely manner! You can tell they love their jobs and want their guests to have the best experience.

Ok, so there are a lot of reviews of this hotel. Some good, others not so good. Overall, it’s a decent hotel. I was surprised our room was as nice as it was. If you book, I would ask for a room on the 2nd floor, as the rooms on the first floor are RIGHT BY the lobby and front desk, literally steps away. This could make for a noisy stay. The walls are thin, and you can hear a lot, but if you just stay for one night it’s not a big deal. We also came when the hotel was relatively empty, if it was full or had a rowdy bunch, it would quickly ruin your stay. We had trouble getting our shower head to work, but it was tolerable, and the water was nice and hot, so we were happy about that. Big bathroom with a jacuzzi tub which was a bonus. Room was hot, but we cracked windows and immediately cooled down. Only bummer there was we had cigarette and bud smokers near us, so we eventually shut it. You get what you pay for, but the room was decent, and the lobby really nice if you wanted to hang out. Guy who checked us in was friendly and helpful and told us where to park. Great location, as you can walk to everything which is great after being in the car. I also noticed some cosmetic things in our room that needed tending to, hole in wall that needed patching, broken cabinet in the bathroom, etc I recommend, but only for...
