We had sushi rolls at Kemosabe and it's usually pretty good. This time the waiter has issues. I dont think that guy with the beard should be waiting tables. When he came to the table we asked him what the daily roll was. He said in a put out and snotty tone " I dont know we just opened" in a way like we should not have ben asking that. If they were open he should know what the roll of the day is. Thats his job. Then he forgot our miso soup and did not like it when we asked him if he forgot it. He would always mutter a comment over his shoulder when he walked away. He seemed very unhappy about taking our order and bringing us food. Then when he brought the little wasabi cups he sort of slamed them down on the table and knocked the silverware all over and looked all put out and never said sorry or put the silverware back. Then when it was time to pay he had one of those handheld electronic devices. We took our time and read the charges like we alway do before giving him the card to run. He muttered some comment about us reading the charges and acted like we were wasting his time by reading our charges. Then we hit print reciept but he never brought it When we asked he was walking by and he yelled over his shoulder " you gotta let me know..." and after a while he brought the reciept back. Actually, if the device says print and we need to let him know, its on him to tell us that. If you hit print you should not have to tell the wait staff to bring it to you. Anyway we live close and have eaten there a lot over the years and the food is usually good but that waiter ruined the dining experience and we will probably not come back becasue of him. That guy has no business wating tables. He made the entire meal on my sons birthday dinner seem like we were just an an iconvenence to him and we were bothering him by being there. Not...
Read moreMy recent visit to Kemosabe Silverhills left me utterly appalled and disgusted. I had the unfortunate misfortune of discovering a hair in my food, which immediately ruined any shred of enjoyment I had anticipated. This flagrant disregard for hygiene and attention to detail was beyond unacceptable. The fact that such an unsanitary incident occurred speaks volumes about the lack of proper standards in the kitchen.
As if the hair in my food wasn't bad enough, the service was equally dreadful. Not a single staff member bothered to apologize for the mess up, let alone address the issue promptly. It was as if they couldn't care less about the customers' experiences or the impact of their negligence. This level of apathy and indifference toward such a significant lapse is truly disheartening and reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole.
To compound the disappointment, the management failed to take any corrective action or offer any form of compensation. Despite the hair incident, my beer remained on the bill, untouched and unacknowledged. It seems inconceivable that a basic act of courtesy. Moreover, the lack of a simple "thank you" or any form of appreciation during the checkout process only added to the overall sense of disgust and disappointment.
In summary, my experience at Kemosabe Silverhills was a complete disaster. The presence of a hair in my food, coupled with the abysmal service and the absence of any form of apology or compensation, made it an unforgettable and unsavory encounter. I would strongly advise potential patrons to steer clear of this establishment if they value hygiene, customer service, and a basic sense of courtesy. There are countless other dining options in Frisco that prioritize cleanliness, professionalism, and the satisfaction of...
Read moreThe quality of food and service at Kemosabe has unfortunately gone way down since the last time I visited. This used to be my husband's favorite restaurant in town when he lived in Frisco, but this is the worst dining experience in my recent memory.
We sat on the patio on a Saturday night and the restaurant was basically empty, save for 3-5 tables inside and some people at the bar. We were seated and given waters and menus. Everything on the menu looks delicious and they have a decent happy hour selection. 20+ minutes go by after being seated, so we went to fetch a server to place our order before HH ended. We ordered a few happy hour items, a bowl of ramen, and some additional rolls. The tray of sushi comes out and somehow the sushi rice isn't even good. The sushi did not taste fresh or flavorful, and even though I love seaweed salads, I only took one bite of this one. Another 30 minutes go by after getting the sushi and the ramen never arrives and our drinks are empty. We go fetch another server, who finds our server, who apparently is also the bartender...who was very apologetic about it, saying that he was busy in the bar but has our table as well for some reason. I have them cancel the ramen because at this point I just want to leave and find different food. He did bring us ice cream to apologize, but we even had to go find the server inside AGAIN to pay...aaaand we had to ask for the ramen to be taken off the bill. I ended up stopping at In-N-Out once we got back into Denver for my...
