I have mixed feelings about posting this review but I just feel frustrated. The location is the only selling point of this motel. I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel, I, to some extent, knew what I was getting into, but we ended up only staying one night because the beds were the worst beds I've ever slept on. We got a large suite because we were with our kid and wanted the extra room. The mattresses might as well have been stones and the pillows were filled with cheap uncomfortable filler. It was probably the worst nights sleep I've ever had. I dreaded sleeping there again so we just didn't. We ended up moving hotels and changing plans just so we didn't have to sleep on the beds again. There also is no central AC and visiting in July made this room hot and uncomfortable. There is a portable unit in the bedroom but that's it. We couldn't get the rooms under about 75° so not only were we uncomfortable but hot. The comforter was thin and just okay. The rest of the room was fine. Outdated, but I knew that from the pictures. For a similar price we could have stayed at a much nicer hotel in the same area. The breakfast was barely passable as continental. We checked out two nights early because we couldn't imagine another night of not sleeping so we essentially double paid for two nights. If you were going with a large group to split the cost it might be worth it (room could sleep multiple couples & kids) but it just wasn't for a family of 3. I would have rather spent another $50/night and stayed at a luxury hotel in Breckinridge.
On top of all of this, I left a note with the front desk with all of my contact information and a note explaining why we checked out and the complaints with the girl at the front desk (who was super sweet and apologetic) and said she would inquire about a refund for the two nights but management never reached out, however I did see we were refunded for one night so I guess that's something. Overall just frustrated and disappointed. I hate leaving negative reviews but this...
Read moreTwo-story walk up motel, clean and in good condition. Comfortable beds with good linens and towels, nice toiletries. There is only a window fan, no A/C. Refrigerator, microwave and Wifi worked fine. There is enough parking (one space per room). I was always able to get a space. Photos are accurate. I had an upstairs room (#37) with two beds. Room is reasonably sized and well-equipped. ||My main issue was the service due to limited office and breakfast hours (7am -10pm). I asked if I could get a banana for breakfast when I checked in, since I needed to leave before 7am for four of my five mornings and the receptionist pretty much shut me down (I did manage to get one packet of oatmeal for one morning). She also shut me down from making a cup of Keurig coffee when I first checked in, but I was able to make a cup on subsequent afternoons. The room coffee setup is a Mr Coffee machine. It was pretty bad, and they do not replenish the coffee packets unless you ask. I wound up boiling water in the microwave and using some freeze-dried coffee I had with me, then having coffee at the conference (thank goodness!)||The location is good if you want to walk up and down the Main Street drag in Frisco, and if you have a vehicle there are several grocery stores and bakeries nearby (to buy breakfast etc if you can't be there for the...
Read moreI was driving to Wisconsin with my daughter and as Iâm not familiar with the area, I was involved in an accident. I was taken to the Hospital and released at 0300. I couldnât find a room to rent for a couple hours so they allowed us to sleep in an empty room in the ER since it wasnât busy. Went to breakfast at 0730 and was calling around for a room because I had no place to go and relax. I was frustrated and in pain with my bruised ribs and my whole left side. I walked in and asked if they had a room to rent and check in later for. Sadie asked if I was the one that called earlier and I confirmed it was me. I explained my car was totaled and in pain. Sadie was kind and understood I wasnât feeling well. I was going to ask to sit in their lobby area with my 12 year old daughter until the room was ready. Without hesitation, Sadie gave me a room that was ready so I could get some sleep and lay down. Although a $20 wasnât enough to show my gratitude thatâs all I had. She was kind, caring and went out of her way for my daughter and I. Thatâs why Iâll be a returning to Snowshow Motel where they hire people empathize with your guests. Human kindness goes a long way in the world we live in. Thank you Sadie and...
