Walter Byron Park — Attraction in Frisco

Great place to read, practice guitar, eat your lunch or walk your dog, especially if you have a friendly dog, because this is the unofficial dog park of Frisco.

You will meet locals as well as people on vacation and second home owners.

Generally a friendly place, regardless of who is there, and a great place to socialize your friendly dog.

A good sized field to throw toys, benches to sit at. A decent gazebo to set up under, for a picnic or gathering. I think you can get a permit from the city to even host an event at, but definitely check with the city.

It's not on the street directly which is great for children and pets but you can park on a street very nearby (on their driveway). There is a bathroom and/or port-a-potty. The park is medium sized (80yds x 40yds? Maybe) the playground equipment for kids is separated by a paved walkway/bike path that goes for a long distance, as well as some picnic tables and a roofed area. Great local park. Very kid centric. I do want to add a disclaimer, while people do occationally come here to play fetch with their dogs it is not in anyway a dog park. I have bumped into a few people lately that said that google told them it's a dog park and it's definitely not.
