This is hands down the best West African restaurant in the whole Dfw. Clean Professional Courtesy and best of all the best tasting I've had. The Egusii was my order and when I got there I took one look and tasted and ordered a second for my children, I knew better not too go home without some for them. You get your moneys worth. The best well money I've spent in a restaurant takeout. The host owners and cooks are fantastic! If you have one thing too do is go too the place. A very satisfied customer! Went for a second time ans was highly dissappointed. How can the portions change in two days. Spent almost 50 bucks on two orders of Egusi with yam and plaintain. The plaintain was not good. The Egusi this time was served in small round bowls half of what I received two days before the Egusi was also less. I called when I got home and spoke to the owner. He was nice about it and I gave him as I gave him my complaint also constructed criticism. You cant run a business like that when the prices are in regards to the portion sizes. He offered to take care of me when Im in the area but I will pass on going back. disappoined

I really wanted to love this place. I ordered the kids portion of the jollof rice and beef. Which is my favorite African dish. However, when I got home I realized I was given chicken, which btw was extremely dry.. So I make the drive back up and it’s 8:30pm. The lady at the front was speaking with another woman about some other lady who works there. I explain the situation and she says she’ll get me what I ordered. She then goes right back talking to the other lady for a few minutes… Then some customer’s come in, she tells them, the kitchen closed at 8:30, mind you it’s 8:35 at this point… why not update your hours to reflect the time your kitchen closes? The jollof rice tasted burnt. I’ve had this rice elsewhere and it tastes nothing like this. The beef was extremely tough. Ended up throwing the food out. Disappointing experience altogether.

Tried this food multiple times hoping that it would get better, hoping that it was my own tastebuds playing tricks on me but sadly it is true. This food is horrible, the Jollof tasted burnt like it was transferred from the burnt pot to another. The chicken made me choke just from the smell. This African food looks prepared in a lazy way. The red sauce simply taste like spaghetti sauce. There are no seasonings to help separate the flavor from good old fashion tomatoe sauce to the deep herb infused ingredients of African cuisine. Long story short... Shutdown immediately, if I could report this madness I would. And to put a cherry on top, the customer service was horrible. The lady at the front barely opens her mouth when talking. Not friendly or welcoming. I vote no, you do not move on to the next round.

Terrible customer service, horrible attitude. Would never spend money to patronize a place with poor attitude and terrible customer service. Picked up an order for a delivery service and without even checking to see if the order was ready, the person at the front helped others that came in after me before even checking to see if my order was ready. I had to wait for someone from the back to check to see if the order was ready. Then she said she was waiting for the customer to confirm a substitute because they were out of goat meat. I called the customer and he answered right away. I let the person talk to the customer on my phone on speaker, but I didn’t let her hold my phone. Maybe she didn’t like that I didn’t let her hold my phone because she said the food would be ready in 10 minutes, which actually took 20 minutes. Then I received a message that the order was ready and saw my order sitting there. I asked the first rude person if the order was ready and she lied and said she had to check with the back. All she did was go to the back then put a napkin or something in the bag and handed it to me. Regardless of how they felt about me, there was paying customer at the end of this transaction. I would never dine here. Customer service is too horrible and this is not my first terrible experience, but will definitely be my last because I will never return. POOR ATTITUDE and...

The food is good. The service is poor. The woman that took our order was lazy. She forgot our $200 dollar to-go order and wanted us to wait an hour after we ate due to her mishap or pay and come back. Mind you we let her know this was our first time here and we are from out of town when we came in. Most orders were to go orders. There were only 3 people at a booth opposite of us that arrived later. The dinning area was not busy at all. There was no excuse for the poor service.

-In response to the owner: My dad clearly stated what he wanted prior to our own order we ate in the restaurant. He stated he wanted food to go. You had plenty of time to cook it. We were there for 2 hours or more. If you had a problem getting it prepared then that should have been stated. The waiter stated she forgot! That was the problem. Then asked us to come back or wait an hour. Please just do better. A simple apology would have been nice verse coming up with an excuse that is a lie. We won’t...
