We went to a the Flavor Lounge on 06/15/2024 at around 7pm. We choose this particular place looking at the reviews and now I wonder if they were paid to write good reviews. Our hopes were high for the food when we entered the restaurant as it was a very nice well decorated, aesthetically pleasing interiors. We could see many tables empty but still we were told to wait in the waiting area. We waited for around 15 minutes and then seated. We were welcomed by a welcome drink/ shots which was very good but what I did like was the fact it was only for adults. They didn’t serve anything to the kids ( I was there with my husband and 2 kids). If they are serving anything as a welcome drink please serve it to everyone on the table. We ordered veg steamed momos, dal makhani, dhaba chicken, garlic naan and extra rice. Rice was complimentary with the 2 curries. The momos were the best out of what we had ordered I would say, still not the best. 3 out of 5. Dal makhani was 2 out of 5 in taste, garlic naan was 0 out of 5 as it was more like chapati with chopped garlic and cilantro sprinkled on top. I have never seen naan that thin and that small of a portion. The dhaba chicken was 0 out of five. I don’t even feel like eating this dish after I tasted. There was 2 big pieces of chicken in the bowl and 1 of the piece didn’t even look like chicken piece. The gravy was full of thick layer of oil. You will not believe how thick layer of oil it was covered in. The weirdest part of the dish was that the gravy, they made the gravy with shredded chicken. To me it looked like the chicken was bought for the store when it was pre cooked and they kind of fixed it in the weirdest gravy they made. They took 40 minutes to serve the food and the extra bowl of rice was served after asking twice at the end of our meal. No one came to check on us to our table. It looked like the staff were struggling to hand the customers. The staff were very slow and were not able to handle the customers. There was large number of people waiting in the waiting area waiting to be seated when there were tables empty. It was such a bad experience that I’m writing this review. I normally don’t post reviews. It was a total waste of our time and money. Never ever going back to this...

Appreciate the response but it’d have been better if you just stuck with the second paragraph alone or haven’t replied at all. The group did not love it and we’re not coming back anytime soon unless the experience significantly improves.
I’ve had my drink, appetizer and tasted the naan bread with the paneer curry when I posted this so I’m not sure what the insinuation here is. I stand by everything in my review.
I don’t agree that you have enough staff serving everybody as the drinks were served after a considerably long time and we were never even asked about a refill. This is not the standard one should be aiming for or that I’m expecting in a place that advertises “exclusive fine dining experience”.

Writing this review while sitting here for dinner.
If you’re thinking that the price means excellent service and/or food, you’re tricked just like us.
I’m writing this while questioning our group’s choice to dine here when we have a ton of different options to choose from.
There is one hostess for this somewhat small restaurant, one bartender, one waiter, one server and an owner that moonlights for multiple roles. The one waiter was constantly checking on us the best he can but the lack of sufficient head-count is apparent in the delay in serving the drinks, taking our order and everything else. You need at-least semi-professional staff for a restaurant at this price-point.
The wait for our drinks is too long, the appetizers were very subpar - fried chicken dunked in sauce for the fancy named chicken appetizer which is just chilli chicken.
Soft and fresh paneer but subpar gravy in paneer butter masala.
Either cook at home if you want good food, go to Saanjh or Windmills if you want a premium experience; Yellow chili for ok experience and good food.
I would not come back even if the food is free and they offer me $100.
If there were more staff, we’d have probably gotten our drinks sooner. Someone could have checked if we wanted a refill or another round. We’d have a slightly better experience and I’d probably be having another drink than writing...
Read moreIt's our first time visiting this restaurant. The total cost including tips came to $82 for 2 Adults and 1Kid. Food and portions: We ordered Momos and Paneer poppers. Momos were really good. If I were to go again, would only order Momos. Definitely worth the money considering the taste, portion and the price. Now coming to paneer poppers the price is 19.99. What we got was a bowl full of fries topped with fried paneer balls. I guess they should have named it paneer topper rather than poppers. Taste wise, it is definitely good but as far as the price goes not worth it. Now the main course. We ordered Paneer Tikka Curry, Jeera Rice and Romali Roti. I was so eager to eat Romali Roti but highly highly disappointed. It was dry and oily. Felt like it was bought from an Indian store freezer and reheated on a pan. So again not worth it and skip it. The Paneer gravy was really good in terms of taste and portion. I would definitely recommend it. But for that price I would expect them to give some pilaf rice as a side. We had to buy Jeera rice which also had a big portion and was priced around $9. Taste is good though. So overall food wise rating is only 3 considering the price, taste and portion size. Service: they had only one person and he was able to manage the crowd as it was light when we went. But he missed to bring our drink and had added it to the bill too. We had to request to remove it. So for service I would give 4 stars. Ambiance: no complaints. Well lit and a cool seating arrangements. Just that cutleries were bought from Amazon I guess. I could see the same ones we just bought from Amazon a week ago 😂. Will I go again: No. but if I go, then with a bit bigger group and avoid the items like paneer poppers. I would avoid all of their appetizers if they are above $15. Main course can be shared by 2 adults sufficiently. And Romali Roti needs to be avoided...
