First and foremost, I want to start this review off by saying Chuy's sole company policy is that every customer should be treated as a VIP and that's why there is no waiting list.

I decided to give this place a try with my mom last night and was unfortunately treated so poorly. At first everything was fine. There was free queso and chips in the back. My mom and I were waiting to get seated and there was like a 15-30 min wait. In the middle of waiting to get seated, my mom's phone unfortunately died and we had no way of knowing when our seats would be notified on because the staff sends out a text. My mom then goes up to the front desk ladies and asks them politely if they could come to the patio area and announce when our seats are ready (as the phone died and there was no where to sit in the front area.) The front desk lady suggested that we could be seated in the back area of the patio because our name was 2nd on the list and it wouldn't matter much. We were happy about that because my mom was starving and there was NO WHERE to sit inside at all. So as we are sitting down, we noticed no server had come to our table yet. We are waiting as everyone else around us had been given menus and drinks. So finally, after about a 10min wait, we see our server. She asks us what we would like to drink and order. We proclaimed to her that no one has given us a menu yet. She proceeds to give us this "look" like she was shocked and then decided to disappear for about 10mins again. My mom and I are just talking when this man plops down in the middle of our table. This man has gray speckled short hair, wearing glasses, and apparently he is one of the newer managers. He doesn't introduce himself at all. He interrupts me and my mom and asks "Did a hostess seat you two?" I am shocked. I couldn't find the words to say. My mom proceeds to say "Yes, one of your workers seated us." He then asks again to me. "Did a hostess seat you?" I just look at him and say "What do you mean? My mom has already answered you." He begins to ask us repeatedly, about 5 times. As if we are lying to him. As if we are animals who just sat down at the table on our own. Interrogating us repeatedly. It felt very dehumanizing and very embarrassing as people around us were mortified and staring at us like we are filth. I have never in my life been treated so awful at a restaurant before. It was so unbelievably disgusting to watch a grown man treat my elderly mom and speak down to her while smiling and smirking. I finally asked "I need to speak to the General manager right now." He laughs, scoffs in my face. Proclaims the manager isn't there right now. My mom jumps up from the table, states she is very upset and says she wants to leave. She was so upset after, she thought she forgot her phone at the table and I had to drive all the way back just for her to find it under my car seat.

Thankfully, I was able to speak to Cristina about the matters. She is also one of the managers and she was very sweet and professional. She let my mom and I eat free and made sure we were taken care of. We had the pleasure of being served by Marina. Also very kind and sweet.

Unfortunately, after last night, my mom and I have decided we wont be back to another Chuy's. This was such a waste of both our nights. I wasted gas. I don't understand why things happened last night. My mom is too old to be getting upset like that. It was disgusting and needless to say, I will make sure I tell everyone I know to stay far away from...

I have been to Chuy’s several times at different locations. This was my first time at this one and definitely my last.

Service: Sat at the bar and waited for around 7 minutes until I was acknowledged. It was a slow Sunday and the bartender, Taylor, was busy with a 5-6 top. That was ok because I wasn’t ready to order anyway. I kept having to wait for Taylor to slow down and ask for a refill on water….”wait….i also need…” she wasn’t paying attention and avoiding asking if I needed anything else. I had to ask the girl helping her for more salsa (which Chuys salsa is some of the best hands down).

I ordered the “bigger than your face” steak burrito, because I’ve ordered it before and it was quick and easy. Well, this particular time it took 15-20 minutes to get, which I wasn’t expecting, because the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. That’s all ok because I’ve been in the restaurant business for 15-20 years so I know how things can be so I try to be patient. The other bartender that was helping Taylor eventually brought it and the outside of it was hard like it was sitting under the heat lamp l/burners a little too long. I took a bite and it was nothing but beans. It took me like 4 bites to even hit the steak. When I split it open and looked, the steak was to the left inside the burrito and the rest was all beans. 95% of the burrito was beans and 5% steak. Maybe a total of 6 pieces of small cubes of steak. Even though the plate was super hot the inside was lukewarm. It was clear that I I didn’t care for it but at no time was I asked how is everything, what can we do to fix it, or anything of that nature. I asked Taylor to close me out and showed her that there wasn’t hardly any steak in there. “Yeah, everything is portioned out so there’s nothing I can do.” Well, the beans weren’t portioned out because there was a plethora of them. I wasn’t trying to be rude and I am not one of the complaining type, like I said I’ve been in the industry, but I didn’t want a $15 bean burrito…AND THE BEANS WERENT VERY GOOD. I have literally had better beans from Taco Casa. “Well when you come back next time I suggest you get the…” and I had to stop her there….”I know it’s not your fault but I won’t be back to this location.”

This was probably the worst situation in a restaurant I’ve had in a long time. No “well let me get my manager” or “what can we do to make it better” just a “sorry there’s nothing we can do, order something different next time.” I paid my bill, and even though the service was sub par, tipped my 30% and got out of there as quick as I could. The girl helping Taylor was helpful and got me a Togo box.

After a few hours of leaving my stomach wasn’t feeling good so I had no desire to eat what was left because what I ate at the restaurant didn’t sit well and had a bad aftertaste. There’s to many restaurants in the area to have this type of experience so I won’t be back (to...

Came here 7/1/2020 @ 5:30ish. The bartender was a young male and it was my first time there and welcomes me immediately. I came in for happy hour and decided to get the top shelf skinny margarita ($9.75) ... He then offered his “special margarita” I questioned and said I don’t want syrup in it I want it to still be true lime. Assured me it'd be no problem and he could still make it his ” Special margarita” which such friendly service I thought why not! along with ground beef enchilada, topped with queso (as suggested). I’m not picky eaters so the food was great to me. however after getting my bill I ordered two drinks of the same “ top shelf margarita” ($9.75) but instead it was a casa Migos $13 drink of something else... I brought it up to him expecting him to correct it but instead gave me excuses like he gave me a bigger drink (that I never asked for) to me, I thought his special margarita would be like a swirl or something I don’t know but not a three dollar up charge. That is definitely something you state before hand...it’s like when you order a salad they let you know that adding chicken is going to be an an up charge so if you add some special size let. me. know. It’s going to be an up charge. He said sorry but it’s not like he genuinely saw his fault because he would’ve corrected the price, I never asked for that. I would’ve gone somewhere high end if I wanted a $13 drink. Ultimately I left that restaurant feeling played completely scammed and I definitely would like to talk to a manager but it seems like they don’t respond to any complaints on here. I came here by myself as a young woman wanting a quick happy hour meal but instead was completely scammed. I felt embarrassed like I should’ve known better than to fall for some sales pitch of a “special margarita” for a $3.25 up charge it better have been a double especially during happy hour! I don’t write reviews ever and this was just something that completely shocked me. Do better and don’t offer that special margarita again unless you’re going to say is a three...

Nachos Man is back at it! I've heard good things about this place, so we decided to try it. Why have Nachos when they serve Panchos, right? First things first. The salsa is really good. The problem is that you can literally see through their chips. They break without even budging the salsa, so you need to find a strong chip and use that one to shovel salsa onto your chips. The ranch dip is also really good. Mixed in with the salsa and it is perfect! The Panchos are interesting. The chips are again a problem. While thicker than the ones for the salsa, they still are not strong enough to hold what they put on it. And the chip shatters when you take a bite, so these ultimately turn into a taco salad. I'm not a huge fan of refried beans on the nachos either. That was mostly all I could taste. The chips had good flavor too, but the rest of it got overpowered by the amount of refried beans. Definitely not a flavor party. Out of the different Nachos I've had, these were a solid 5/10. Not the best, but not the worst either. Jen got the fajitas, as usual when we try something new. These were more of a hit than the Panchos, but they were definitely missing something. The steak arrived sizzling on a bed of onions, but that was it for that plate. Who makes fajitas without green and/or red peppers? There was one small sliver of a red pepper, but that was it. Not sure what was going on there. The waitress was having an off night or was new, but I can't hold that against Chuy's. Everybody is new at some point and it was later on a Saturday night, so maybe it had just been a long shift. So other than weak chips, a little heavy on the refried beans, and a noticeable absence of peppers on the fajitas, it was a good experience. I would probably try them again to see if this was just an isolated experience with new staff or if this is just how it is before I got too critical. I left full and nothing we ate disagreed with us later, so all in all it is worth 4 stars.

The staff here are incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere has a great vibe with a warm, welcoming ambience. One unique touch I loved: they have a dedicated pet wall! Bring in a photo of your pet, and you’ll get a free appetizer, such a fun idea. While you wait for your order, they serve fresh chips with salsa, which is a nice touch. The food came out in under 10 minutes, which was impressive. I usually don’t expect much from Tex-Mex spots since many tend to taste the same, but this place stood out. The enchiladas and fajitas were packed with flavor. Everything tasted fresh, especially the salsa and guacamole. Their signature sauces really elevate the chips, and the beef fajitas were perfectly marinated and incredibly tender. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!
