UPDATE #2: wife and I came back after 3 months. The beef/protein quality is still very good. My small bowl of pho dac biet had very good tripe and tendon. The broth was better this time. I also ordered a banh mi dac biet and was slightly disappointed that they didn’t put butter in the sandwich but substitute it with what I think is sriracha mayo. That being said the bread was crispy and the meats/pate were pretty good. My wife had their bun rieu and thought it was a good rendition. The service this time was a bit better. Keeping the 4 star review for the missing butter in my banh mi but the meal was still very good and enjoyable
UPDATE: My review below was about five months ago. My family and I came back for the first time since and the flavor of the broth has definitely changed…it’s a bit blander and don’t have that same great taste as before. Still not a bad bowl of pho as the proteins (I ordered the combination / dac biet) are still great and tender. Service seems to be inconsistent from my observation.

First off: yes it’s pricey. Second, it’s pricey for a reason. This establishment shouldn’t be considered in the same category as your old school, mom and pop, hole in the wall pho restaurants most are familiar with. The decor and ambiance are all top notch. This is probably the cleanest and most organized pho restaurant I’ve ever been in.
Now to the food. My wife ordered spring rolls for our appetizer and, while it was $6 for two, we soon realize this place put quality over quantity. The spring roll was soft and chewy but you can actually taste the rice paper as opposed to other places where it tastes hard, bland, and way too much vermicelli noodles.
The pho. Yes I spent almost $20 on a large bowl of pho (dac biet / combination). Yes that’s the most I’ve ever spent on a single bowl of pho in my life. Yes it was worth it. The large bowl is huge—much larger than other “large” around the DFW area. Plenty of pho noodles, tasty cuts of beef, and the broth is excellent. I’ve always said the best pho broth I’ve had in DFW was at Pho Pasteur in Arlington and this one is coming in pretty close to it. The sheer size of this bowl makes me pray for anyone that wants to try their biggest $50 option.
Service was very good. The guys were welcoming and very helpful.
All in all: pricey if you’re accustomed to the traditional pho restaurants but this place and it’s good is anything but regular. I’ll even say it’s already the best pho in the...
Read moreWe had a party of 8 and not one of us cared for what we chose.
Crab Fried Rice The crab fried rice had an up charge of an additional +$4 to a dish that was already on the high end for fried rice. $14. We expected it to be at least decent but my son barely touched it and said the crabmeat was not fresh and dry. The portion was a good size, but pointless if not eaten.
Chicken Wings What’s really telling was the chicken wings appetizer. Half of the dish still remained after we all finished our main meals. My kids loves chicken wings and usually fight for the last piece…that was not the case at this restaurant.
Banh Xeo Banh xeo is a favorite of mine but I won’t be back for it here. The banh xeo was greasy, nearly burnt and didn’t have any essence of coconut milk or onions. The only good thing was they had the right variety of fresh mints and garnishes.
Bun Bo Hue Not great, not even decent :/ My uncle just shook his head. He left Dallas with a not so great tasting bowl of spicy bbh soup he was hoping for.
Pho Dac Biet, Pho Ga Aunt and kids barely finished their bowls and they ordered the small size. The broth was not golden clear, but cloudy. Disappointed because these two dishes should have been good and their saving grace but sadly was not.
The owner/manager needs to reassess who is prepping and cooking these dishes because it is not even at homemade level. It’s costing them repeat business. At the price points they charge, you expect to be raving about the dish to others or say it’s at least decent, but not one said their dish was good.
I was really hoping this Vietnamese restaurant would be my new go to restaurant whenever I don’t feel like cooking because it isn’t too far of a drive from home and open late. Some other positive notes- service was fine, decor was pleasant and women’s restroom was tidy, but that doesn’t make up for the disappointing meals. Recommend taking some items off the menu to focus on perfecting the...
Read moreMy fondness for this place stemmed from countless visits with friends and family, drawn by their delightful bun bue ho. My go-to order was the customized pho with bun bue ho broth and no meat, as I’m not much of a meat enthusiast, but I savor rich broths. However, today was a jarring experience that shattered my previous affection for the establishment. Upon entering, I was greeted by a person I assume to be the manager, always friendly and courteous during my past visits. He seated us and served our waters. As I prepared to order, the waitress approached with an abrupt, ‘Are you ready?’ I responded politely, expressing my readiness and inquiring about her well-being. I proceeded to share my usual order, only to be met with an unwavering gaze and a blunt refusal, ‘We don’t do that.’ I persisted, explaining that I’d made this request on several occasions, including just two weeks prior. Her response changed to, ‘Well then we don’t do that anymore.’ Disheartened, I informed her I wouldn’t be dining there. In a brusque tone, she snatched the menus, muttered an insincere apology only saying “sorry” in a passive tone, and we left. This incident has led me to reconsider returning to Texas pho House. It’s unclear whether they abruptly altered their policy or if the waitress was misinformed, opting to assert a rule. For a better experience, I recommend Pho Mac, where the staff is notably cordial and respectful. Unlike the discourteous employees at Texas pho House, dining at Pho Mac ensures a pleasant time. Whoever that waitress is, it’s crucial for her to receive proper training or an attitude adjustment. They lost a loyal costumer, and I will be telling all of my friends about this new “rule” since...
